Lucas Vazquez is one of the students of Real Madrid, who, despite everything, continues to fight for a place under the sun in the Royal Club. He is already 25 years old, but he is still not a star of the first magnitude, so he can hardly count on much. But at the same time, Lucas Vazquez manages to get game practice and so far has no plans to leave Real Madrid.

Lucas Vazquez was born July 1, 1991 in Spain, at the age of nine he went to the football academy of the club "Curtis", bearing the name of his hometown. After staying there for four years, Lucas moved to another club, the Urals, where he stayed for another three years. When he was 16 years old, a miracle happened that Vasquez could not even dream of - he was noticed by scouts of Real Madrid and offered to go to the Madrid Academy. Naturally, Lucas agreed and in 2007 became part of the Real Madrid youth system.
In 2009, he turned 18 years old, and he received a professional contract from the club, but even then it was clear that he was not considered as a new star. For two years, Lucas Vazquez played for the third team of Real Madrid, until in 2011 he received a promotion, but not at all to the main team, but only to the second. There he was waiting for another three years of performances, during which he played 92 matches, scoring 15 goals. This did not suit the player very much, and the club management after the last season noticed that Vazquez has a certain potential. Therefore, in 2014, a 23-year-old player was sent on loan to Hispaniol so that he could gain playing practice there.
Rent in Espanyol
Lucas Vazquez is a football player who does not give up, so at Espanyol he was eager to show everything he was capable of. As a result, he spent a whole year there, becoming an important part of the team. He entered the field 38 times, scoring 4 goals. As a result, in early June, Espanyol decided to buy the player’s transfer for five hundred thousand euros, signing a four-year contract with him. And perhaps Vasquez would have stayed there for a long time if something unusual had not happened - less than a month after signing the contract with Espanyol, Lucas received an invitation from Real Madrid, the club called him back. “Creamy” had the option of a priority buyback for a million euros, which they took advantage of. As a result, Espanyol earned five hundred thousand euros, and the accumulated experience of Lucas Vazquez, whose biography made an incredible turn, returned to Real.
Return to Real Madrid
Of course, it cannot be said that Vazquez got a permanent place at the base in Real Madrid, because on the flanks he had to compete with such football giants as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. And even on the bench there were other applicants, such as Hese and Denis Cheryshev. But, despite this, Vazquez managed to enter the field in 32 matches, scoring four goals. This season, Lucas has appeared on the field in eight fights, noting three assists.
Team appearances
The sudden rise of Vasquez influenced his career in the Spanish national team. Prior to this, no one considered his candidacy at any of the levels, that is, he did not even have a single match for any of the youth teams. But in June 2016, Lucas was called up for a friendly match against the Georgian national team, spent 62 minutes on the field and immediately got into the application for the 2016 European Championship. He spent all three matches of the group stage on the bench, having replaced only in the 1/8 finals against the Italians, where the Spanish team lost. Vasquez’s third and last match for the national team took place in September 2016 - it was a friendly match against the Belgian national team, where Vasquez came on as a substitute for 15 minutes.
