Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant (OJSC, and to be precise, now CJSC) is one of the leading Ural enterprises. This is a major center for the production of galvanized polymerized sheet metal and its products. Many bodies of domestic cars are made of Lysven rental.
Historical reference
Perm Territory is one of the oldest Russian metallurgy centers. Abundant metal reserves, full-flowing rivers, and the presence of large tracts of forest favored the development of ore mining. In 1875, Prince Shukhovskoy founded an iron foundry in the Lysva River Valley. Gradually, production expanded, workshops, workshops and entire factories for the production of rolled and forged products were built.
In the XIX century, Count Shuvalov, who bought the plant, used the generic coat of arms - "Unicorn" as a stigma. Two centuries later, a noble animal still adorns the company's products, symbolizing the continuity of traditions and impeccable quality.
In Soviet times, the company was known as the "Plant 700". The workshops inherited from tsarist Russia were for the most part rebuilt, equipment modernized.
Today
In the 90s, LMZ actually curtailed production. During this period, the company paid attention to the company "Insayur", engaged in the supply of metal kits for AvtoVAZ. Cooperation allowed us to reorient the plant to the production of protected metal, from which automobile tanks were first made, and then other corrosion-resistant components for Lada models. A new era has come for the oldest enterprise in the Urals.
The construction boom of the early 2000s led to the development of promising new products - profiled metal sheets with a protective polymer coating. Subsequently, the company entered a specialized enameled glassware factory . In 2013, the united Lysven Metallurgical Company was formed.
Core specialization
Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant produces cold-rolled sheets of electrolytically galvanized steel for the automotive industry. In particular, vehicle bodies are made from it. Galvanizing protects against corrosion, in addition, such a polymer-coated rolled product is widely used in household products, household appliances, construction, engineering, shipbuilding, and instrument making.
Part of the polymerized steel, after being processed on roll forming machines, becomes a finished product - metal profiles. Fences, roofing, and easily erected household buildings are made from corrugated board.
From the roof to the stew
Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant produces demanded products. Its sheet metal protects against the leakage of the roof of the London Parliament, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, and tens of thousands of ordinary Russians' houses.
Due to its excellent insulating properties, galvanized metal can be used not only for protection against the effects of aggressive environments of large objects, but also for food preservation. Meat, vegetables, fruits, condensed milk retain their nutritional properties in jars made from tin processed at LMZ.
Repair and related manufacturing
Such a large-scale enterprise as the Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant cannot do without a maintenance repair unit. The department is engaged not only in troubleshooting equipment, but also creates its own products for industrial purposes, large-capacity equipment and tools.
LMZ produces excellent gas and electric stoves under the Lysva brand. An interesting model is a combined electric gas stove. Products are of high quality and reliability (the average service life of products manufactured at the enterprise is 25-30 years). According to statistics, every fifth Russian family (30 million people) cooks on Lysven stoves.

The Perm Territory is famous for its “left-handed people”: inventors, designers, engineers, practical scientists. It is obvious that such a large plant with diversified production cannot operate effectively without serious scientific, professional and economic potential.
Naturally, the Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant is developing its own scientific and technical base. His laboratories are developing new and improving old technologies for the protective coating of metals and electrolytic galvanizing. Here they design, test and deliver fundamentally new types of equipment to the workshops. Being a powerful branched structure, the plant independently provides 100% of itself with electricity. The city of Lysva also receives surplus thermal energy from the enterprise. For the first time in Russia, LMZ introduced a heat metering system at an enterprise and municipal facilities.

Enamelware from Lysva is not just a stamped piece of tin. This is a work of design art, an example of reference quality, a collection of intricate forms and artistic images.
