There are situations when curls urgently need to be done at home, and for papillots or curlers you need to run to the store. In such a situation, you can make papillots yourself. For this, an old A4 newspaper is useful. Its sheet must be folded as carefully as possible along the length so that a sort of tube forms in the end. It must be bent in half. It will be a kind of tweezers. In order to make curls with their help, you need to grab the tip of the lock with a papillot and guide it along the curl to the very roots. Now, for fixing, you just need to push the rear ends of the “tweezers” through the loop and tighten all the way. Of course, the effect of home-made papillots does not compare with the effect of factory ones, however, it is better than nothing.
