Dusan Tadic is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder in the Ajax Amsterdam and the national team of Serbia. In 2018, he took part in the World Cup in Russia. Dusan Tadic was born on November 20, 1988 in the city of Bachka Topola, Yugoslavia (Serbia). Pupil of youth teams of football clubs “Bachka Topola” and “Vojvodina”.
In adult football, he made his debut in 2006 as part of the Voevodina club, where he eventually spent the next four seasons, taking part in 107 championship matches. Most of the time spent as part of Vojvodina was the main player on the team.
His game for this team attracted the attention of representatives of the coaching staff of the Groningen club from the Netherlands, which he joined since 2010. In his debut season in the Netherlands, he took part in 41 games in all tournaments, in which he scored seven goals and 22 assists. By the number of the latter, he became the third best assistant of the season in European football after Mesut Özil (26 assists) and Lionel Messi (25). He played for the team from Groningen in total two seasons of his playing career.
Twente
The 2012/13 season began already in another Dutch Twente team, where he transferred for 7.7 million euros. He made his debut for Twente on August 12, 2012 in a match against the previous team, Groningen, which scored two goals against this goal. In two seasons he managed to play for the team from Enschede 70 matches in the national championship, in which he scored 29 goals.
Southampton
In July 2014, Dusan Tadic transferred to the Southampton English company on a four-year contract, which, according to unofficial estimates, paid the transfer for 11 million pounds. It was the first acquisition of the new coach of the English team Ronald Cuman. Immediately became a player in the main squad and one of the main attack controllers.
International career for the national team of Serbia
Since 2007 he played in the youth team of Serbia. At the youth level he played in 23 official matches.
At the end of 2008 he made his debut in official matches as part of the national team of Serbia. The second match for the national team was held only in the spring of 2010, and began to receive a stable place in the national team only from the beginning of 2012. In the spring of 2018, he held his 50th meeting as part of the Serbian national team, in which he scored a thirteenth goal.
In the same 2018, he went with the national team to his first international tournament - the World Cup in Russia, where he made his debut in the first game of the group stage.
