Boxer Stanislav Kashtanov: biography, career

Stanislav Kashtanov is a boxer from Ukraine, who in 2015 received Russian citizenship and now plays in professional boxing under the flag of Russia. It works in the second average (up to 76.3 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg). He is the interim world champion according to the WBA (from 2012 to 2013). From 2015 to the present, boxer Stanislav Kashtanov has the status of the Russian champion in the light heavyweight category. The athlete's height is 185 cm, and the arm span is 178 cm.

Stanislav Kashtanov was born on July 31, 1984 in Donetsk (Ukraine). From the age of six, he began to work hard in boxing. From the first training session, the guy showed the coach excellent boxing skills, he had a strong lightning strike and a subtle innate sense of timing. The debut in the pro ring took place in the summer of 2003. The first rivals were the little-known boxers, whom Stanislav knocked out one after the other. He spent most of his battles in Ukraine.

First world titles: WBC, WBA

In 2006, boxer Stanislav Kashtanov won the WBC World Youth Championship. The first professional fiasco in the ring happened to him in 2011. Then Stanislav had on his account 28 fights, and, accordingly, victories. This result allowed him to join the battle for the title of world champion against the Hungarian athlete Karol Balzhai. The confrontation took place in an equivalent fight, but most of the judges gave the victory to the Hungarian athlete.

In November 2012, Ukrainian boxer Stanislav Kashtanov fought for the title of interim WBA champion against his compatriot Sever Emurlaev. On account of the latter there were 22 victories out of 22 possible. In this fight, Kashtanov triumphed on points. However, Emurlaev also looked worthy against his background.

In August 2013, Kashtanov had to defend his champion title against Jornimen (i.e., the novice boxer) Javier Barbosa from Costa Rica, who had 18 wins and 8 losses. The fight took place in Ukraine at the Donetsk stadium Donbass Arena. As a result, our compatriot won by knockout. At the same time, boxer Stanislav Kashtanov signed an agreement with the promoter organization UBP. In 2014, media reported that Kashtanov was ending his career due to health problems.

In the winter of 2015, Vladimir Khryunov (promoter) announced that the boxer Stanislav Kashtanov (photo text) will now live in the city of Serpukhov. He will return to the world of boxing as a citizen of the Russian Federation. After that, Kashtanov begins to actively train and sparring with various masters. In August 2015, he met for the second time in the ring with WBA interim champion Felix Valera (Dominican Republic). The fight was extremely difficult for the Russian, apparently a year and a half break in boxing affected this. At the end of the 12-round fight, the victory was given to the Dominican. In May 2016, Russian boxer Stanislav Kashtanov won the vacant IBF middleweight belt, triumphing in a fight against Polish athlete Tomasz Gargulu.
