The game for Porto
In the first season, Bruno Alves steadily polished the bench, having entered the field only 11 times. But already in the next season he won a place at the base - and for four years he was one of the key players in the club's defensive line. Altogether Bruno Alves won 171 matches for Porto, scoring 17 goals. During this time, he became the champion of Portugal four times, won the Portuguese Cup three times, collecting an impressive number of trophies before being sold for a serious amount to St. Petersburg Zenit.
Going to Zenit
In the summer of 2010, Zenit paid 22 million euros to get at its disposal a Portuguese defender. When Alves came to the club, the Russian season was already ending, and he appeared on the field in only 25 matches. But even then, he managed to win the Russian championship right there.
