The channel is a product very much demanded today made of metal. Its main distinguishing feature is the U-shaped section. Such metal products are obtained by rolling billets using the hot method or using the technology of cold deformation of steel sheets. It is produced in the form of steel long products 3ps / sp5 and rolled from 09g2s alloys. Channel bars are divided into two varieties depending on the form:
- parallel - internal faces are located strictly parallel relative to each other;
- inclined - internal faces are placed under a slope.

One of the varieties of steel is a hot-rolled channel, the cross section of which is also U-shaped. It is made in the form of two shelves that are parallel to each other, and one connecting wall. This channel is divided into 3 varieties:

- with measured length.
As for the dimensions of the channel, they can be non-standard, since it all depends on the wishes and requirements of the customer. Internal faces should have a slope of no more than 10%. Hot rolled channel is a universal material for light and heavy industries.

Bent steel channel is made of low alloy, hot rolled, cold rolled and carbon steel on bending machines. It is divided into two types: unequal and equal sex. Such metal rolling is used in cases when huge bending loads will be placed on the structure under construction.
For the production of low alloy steel channel is used (as the name implies) low alloy steel. It is characterized by high resistance to various dynamic loads and large fluctuations in air temperature.
