Spanish quarterback Bartra Mark

Bartra Mark is a Spanish footballer now playing for the German Borussia from Dortmund. He was 25 years old, but most of his career he spent in Barcelona, where he was waiting for his chance to gain a foothold in the base. Bartra Mark plays in the position of the central defender, but can also act in the position of the right defender.

The period in Barcelona

Bartra Mark was born on January 15, 1991 in Spain, where at the age of ten he got into the football academy of the Hispaniol club. However, his talent turned out to be so great and impressive that a year later he moved to the academy of one of the strongest clubs in the world, the Catalan β€œBarcelona”. He spent seven years there, after which he signed a professional contract with the club.

However, in Barcelona, for the time being, there was no place for him, so Bartra Mark played mainly for the second team. In total, in the double of Barcelona, he spent 81 matches, scoring two goals. But he regularly received calls to the main team. During these three years, he played eight matches, after which he was completely transferred to the main team, although he remained almost all the time in reserve.

In four years, Bartra played 95 matches for Barcelona, scoring five goals. Together with the club, he won five Spanish Championships, three Spanish Cups and two Champions League. However, in the summer of 2016, it became clear that Bartre did not shine in his native club - this was clearly indicated by the purchase of the young French talent Umtiti. Therefore, for eight million euros he was sold to the German Borussia from Dotmund.

Transition to Borussia

That's how Bartra Mark radically decided to change the situation - Barcelona turned out to be a pipe dream, so he decided to go for a fall. He was taken to Borussia as a substitute for Mats Hummels, who returned to Munich's Bavaria. This season, Bartra has already played 12 matches for the new club, in which he scored one goal and gave two assists, so that so far he is coping with his tasks quite well.

Team appearances

In the Spanish national team, Bartra made his debut in 2013, when he was only 22 years old. However, as in Barcelona, there was no room for a promising defender in the national team. Therefore, since then, Mark has played only 12 matches. He was called to a much larger number of games, but in almost all he remained on the bench during the entire playing time. Bartra even went to the European Championships 2016, however, he also sat on the bench for all four matches, never having a chance to prove himself.
