Obukhova Lyudmila Filippovna: biography, personal life, achievements in science

We are happy in the profession we live in if we are born in the field of the amazing love of our teachers, our teachers and each other. Lyudmila Filippovna expressed this love, as no one generously gave it to others.

This quote by V.T. Kudryavtseva perfectly characterizes the personality of the heroine of today's article. In the biography of Obukhova Lyudmila Filippovna, the main role is played by science, in which she was passionately in love from a young age and until the end of her life. And with this love of psychology she infected everyone: colleagues, students, and just the people who surrounded her.

Childhood

Obukhova Lyudmila Filippovna was born in Moscow in the summer of 1938. She was the second child with her parents. The family, as they said in those days, was proletarian. My father worked as a molder at the factory, my mother worked as a cleaner. They lived very modestly: stove heating, a toilet on the street, cold water from the column. The childhood of the future scientist fell on the difficult war and post-war years. Lyudmila Filippovna remembered for her whole life the memories of the metro, in which the townspeople hid from the bombing, the sweet taste of raw potatoes, and the incredible atmosphere of love and care that parents created in spite of dark times.

Lyudmila Filippovna spoke calmly about childhood and family. She noted that during this period there were many happy moments: long games in the yard with peers in bast shoes or Cossack robbers, sledding and ice skating in winter.

With special warmth, Lyudmila Filippovna recalled her school years. Teachers at that time with great warmth belonged to the "children of war." Children tried to drive more often on excursions, to cinema and theaters. Performances had to be watched sitting on the stairs. But this did not bother our heroine. She eagerly absorbed all the knowledge that a hungry children's mind could reach.

Favorite subjects in the school at Obukhova were Russian language and literature. In the 10th grade, a young student writes an essay on the works of Paustovsky. The work made a splash. The school administration decided to invite the writer to hand him the work of Tatyana Filippovna. After such success, the girl was predicted to successfully enter the philological faculty of Moscow State University. However, Obukhova Lyudmila Filippovna made a different decision.

Choice of profession

After graduating from school, as expected, Lyudmila Filippovna submitted documents to the philological faculty of Moscow University. Walking around the round hall of the Moscow State University library, where they accepted documents for admission, a sign caught the girl’s eyes: “Philosophy. Logics. Psychology". By a fortunate coincidence, it was this year that the educational and scientific unit of Psychology at Moscow State University began recruiting its first students. And the future student Obukhova, by all means, decided to study in this faculty. True, it turned out to be difficult. The selection committee categorically refused to transfer her documents to another faculty. Students like Obukhova Lyudmila Filippovna needed them themselves. The girl spent a whole week to solve the issue with the selection committee.

Student years

The years of study at Moscow State University from 1955 to 1960, Lyudmila Filippovna described as "exciting, incomparable happiness."

Psychology at that time was considered something not serious. But despite this, Obukhova’s teachers were such famous personalities as A. V. Zaporozhets, A. N. Leontiev, E. N. Sokolov and others. A small number of students on the course (there were only eight of them) contributed to a closer and productive communication with teachers. They often communicated in an informal setting, outside the university, and writing scientific papers turned into a fascinating creative process.

In 1960, Obukhova Lyudmila Filippovna graduated with honors from the University, and remained in it to work as a laboratory assistant.

Scientific activity

In 1962, Obukhova entered graduate school. There, under the leadership of Pyotr Yakovlevich Halperin, she writes a scientific paper. Halperin - Psychology as an Objective Science”.

Another significant work of Obukhova Lyudmila Filippovna was the book "The Concept of Jean Piaget: Pros and Cons", 1981. To date, this work is the only one where the research of J. Piaget underwent a deep system analysis and received an objective assessment. A high indicator of Obukhova’s success was a positive assessment of the book by the staff of the University of Geneva.
