Carier start
Evgeni Lovchev started playing football in the children's team "Petrel" under the guidance of coach Ivan Alexandrovich Kochetkov. After the club closed, he performed in the youth team “Youth” with coach Leonid Marakuev. This was the first real team of a young football player. Yunost competed in the championship of Moscow, where the CSKA, Dynamo, Spartak and other strong teams participated.
In 1965, Evgeny Lovchev was a footballer of the RSFSR national team. The first major tournament in which the 16-year-old player took part was the Youth Cup. It was played with the participation of national teams representing the former republics of the Soviet Union.
Further, Eugene played in the newly created experimental team of the USSR, owned by the Petrel society. Vsevolod Blinkov led the young team. Here Lovchev received his first salary: 160 full-fledged Soviet rubles. The team performed in various tournaments, making trips to Indonesia, Burma, Italy. But this did not concern Eugene. He, working in a license plate factory, was not allowed to travel abroad. For him, the most memorable was the Moscow match with the Brazil national team, held at Dynamo.
Career at Spartak
Petrel had a sports doctor Nikolai Alekseev, who maintains close relations with Nikita Simonyan, head coach of Spartak. Thanks to his recommendations, Evgeny Lovchev in 1969 became a football player of the Moscow club. Spartak’s composition then was stellar: Anzor Kavazashvili, Gennady Logofet, Nikolai Osyanin, Galimzyan Khusainov, Victor Papaev. Lovchev took the position of the left defender of the team.
This year was one of the most successful in a short career player. Spartak wins the USSR Championship, and Lovchev receives a call to the main team of the country.
In 1971, he became the owner of the Cup of the country, the next year - the best player in the championship of the Soviet Union. Meanwhile, things at the “Spartacus” are getting worse and worse. The team begins to fall in the championship, taking every year a lower place. The club leaves Nikita Simonyan. He is replaced by Nikolai Gulyaev. But this does not save the situation. According to the results of the autumn championship of 1976, the team takes the penultimate place and goes to the first league.
The club is undergoing a radical reorganization. Once again, the coaching staff is changing. Konstantin Beskov is appointed to the place of the head coach, and a dozen young soccer players come to the team, who later glorified the Moscow club, making him the best team in the USSR. The new Spartak team included Oleg Romantsev, Sergey Shavlo, Alexander Sorokin, Georgy Yartsev, Alexander Samokhin, Rinat Dasayev.
The team on the first attempt returned to the big leagues, acquired its own unique style of play (Spartak spirit), but in this team there was less and less space for Evgeny Lovchev. Beskov made it clear that in the future he did not see Eugene in the club and did not count on him as the main player of the team. At the same time, Lovchev was a footballer (captain) of the country's Olympic team, was involved in the national team, was in optimal sports form and in the prime of his life. Most likely, the player and the coach did not agree on the characters.
Leaving Spartak
In 1978, Evgeny Lovchev decided to change the club. Despite the proposal from the Leningrad “Zenith”, he goes to the Moscow “Dynamo”. Here the football player did not work out. Having played one season for Dynamo, he accepts an offer from the team “Wings of the Soviets” - the club of the first league of the USSR championship. As a midfielder, Eugene spent 21 matches with the Kuibyshev team, scoring 15 goals. This ended the rapid and controversial career of one of the best, but not completely demanded football player Evgeny Lovchev. He finished performing in 1980 at the age of 31.
It so happened that Eugene won all his awards as part of Spartak. He was the owner of gold, silver and bronze medals of the championship, the owner of the USSR Cup, the best player of the year, seven times included in the list of “33 best football players of the USSR”.
As a coach, Lovchev worked in the teams: Wings of the Soviets (Kuibyshev), Metallurg (Zlatoust), Lokomotiv (Chelyabinsk), Friendship (Maykop). But his greatest coaching career was in mini-football. From 1999 to 2008, Yevgeny Lovchev served as president and head coach of the Moscow Spartak.
Currently, Lovchev is a staff observer for the newspaper Sovetsky Sport, a football expert on various sports channels, host of the Lovchev Team program, and a participant in Sunday broadcasts on Mayak radio.
In conclusion, we note that recently a former football player married for the fourth time. With his first wife Tatyana Lovchev lived for 20 years. The son Andrey was born in the marriage (former player of the Kazakhstan national team) and daughter Ekaterina. From his third marriage, his son Nikolai was born.
Here is such a smoothie in his venerable age, Evgeny Lovchev. The wife, like the two previous ones, is much younger.
