Dmitry Khomukha is a former Soviet and Turkmen footballer, and now a coach who is without a contract. The last club, which was headed by a 47-year-old specialist, is the Latvian Riga. Dmitry Khomukha, when he was still a football player, played in the position of an attacking midfielder.

Club career

Dmitry Khomukha was born on August 23, 1969 in the city of Ashgabat of the Turkmen SSR. There, he began to play football at a children's sports school from childhood. At the age of 16, he joined the Turkmen club Kolkhozchi, for which he spent 47 matches over two years - there he marked the first goal scored in his career. In 1988, he moved to the Chaika-CSKA Moscow club, for which he played another 45 matches during the year and scored three goals. Then he briefly moved to the SKA Karpaty club, where he added 17 matches and one goal to his track record. In 1989 he joined the Metalist, in which he spent the next five years.

In the Soviet club he spent 37 matches without scoring a single goal, and in the Ukrainian - already 54 games, in which he scored three goals scored. In 1994, the 25-year-old midfielder moved to the Erzu club, for which he played only 14 matches and scored two goals - and immediately after that he moved to the Zenit Petersburg, where he stayed for two whole years - he played 61 for the new club match and scored four goals. In 1997, the footballer joined CSKA Moscow, for which he played for a long time. It was with the army that Dmitry Khomukha was able to achieve better results in the League - second and third place in 1998 and 1999, respectively. In total, he spent four seasons in the club, having played 116 matches and having accumulated 27 goals in them - twice as much as in all previous clubs combined. But in 2001, Khomukha left CSKA, joining Shinnik, with whom he played another three years. He entered the field 69 times, scored 16 goals and helped the club reach the Premier League in 2001. And in 2004, he joined the Terek, which became his last club. There he managed to immediately enter the Premier League and immediately win his first trophy in his career - the Cup of Russia. During the two years he spent at Terek, Khomukha played 36 matches and scored four goals. In the winter of 2006, the 36-year-old football player announced his retirement.

Team appearances

Dmitry Khomukha is a football player who began to play in the youth team of the Soviet Union, but did not receive a call to the adult team until the collapse of the USSR. After that, the player managed to spend 15 matches and score two goals for the national team of Turkmenistan.

Immediately after completing his sports career, Khomukha returned to CSKA, where he was appointed youth coach. He worked in this position for four and a half years, after which he received an offer from the Football Union of Russia, and in the fall of 2009 he became a coach of the Russian youth team under the age of 15 years. Each subsequent year he received a promotion to the next age category, and in 2015 already worked with the youth team until the age of 21. And only in April 2016, he received the position of coach in the Latvian club Riga, where he worked for only four months.
