Crown Royal Whiskey has become popular and sought after by Canadian Samuel Bronfman. This unsurpassed master has created more than 40 brands of the noble drink, with a maturity of ten to thirty years. Crown Royal whiskey was created far from the first time. Before approving the final version, Samuel tested an incredible variety of compositions.
How did the drink appear?
The presentation of the drink took place on the occasion of the visit to Canada of the royal couple of Britain. It was this event that influenced both the design of the bottle and the name itself. After all, if translated from English, the brand name sounds like a “royal crown”.
Then immediately went on sale more than a hundred boxes of whiskey. The drink gained popularity only in 1951, and in 1964 entered the international level.
Crown Royal whiskey reviews are only positive. Apparently, therefore, the Sigram trading house managed to sell more than twenty-five million liters of this drink. Whiskey has a rich, amber-golden color, a perfectly balanced aroma and a mild taste. To feel the whole bouquet, the drink must be tasted only in its purest form. Otherwise, fruit notes and tones of marmalade and vanilla may not open. If you believe the experts, then even a small piece of citrus can ruin the whole taste.
Nowadays
Crown Royal whiskey was a real success when it was acquired by the famous alcohol company Diageo. It was this enterprise that was able to present products so that it hit the pinnacle of popularity. Now this drink is most often called the "legendary Canadian whiskey." He immediately catches the eye on store shelves. Its presentable packaging is simply impossible to get around. Experts believe that Crown Royal whiskey will long occupy a leading position in the global alcohol market.
A few words about the distillery
Seagram Distillery was opened by farmer Joseph Seagram in 1857. And from the very beginning, no one planned to produce alcohol. The enterprise was built in order to process surplus grain.
But Joseph, unexpectedly even for himself, liked making whiskey. He received maximum pleasure by blending alcohols. Moreover, the profit from the sale of alcohol was no less than from the grain trade. During Prohibition in the United States, drinks from this distillery were brought to America by Joseph's son, Johnny. The guy turned out to be such a successful smuggler that he did not come across a single time.
It is interesting that even in the most difficult times, the enterprise worked in full force. That is why, when the Prohibition was abolished, the Seigrams had all the warehouses filled with products. They were almost the first to enter the market and completely conquered it.
In 1933, a new man appeared at the factory. It was that Semuel Bronfman, who was mentioned at the beginning of the article. Now the main emphasis was on the production of new varieties of whiskey.
In the sixties, the company's area of interest expanded greatly. Now they also produced soft drinks. A media holding was acquired and a distillery modernized.
In the nineties, the distillery, all stocks of drinks and fifty hectares of land were bought by the alcohol giant Diageo. They renamed the distillery "Crown Royal", showing this, which is the main whiskey in the production.
According to reviews of Crown Royal whiskey, one can judge that all types of this drink are different from each other, and each has its own peculiarity.
