Beer "Tuborg": manufacturer, photo, reviews

For the first time about Tuborg beer became known at the end of the 19th century. No one then could have thought that this ordinary product would bring its country truly world fame.

old story

beer tuborg

It all started in Denmark. It was there that in 1873, near unknown Copenhagen, the unknown Karl Tietgen built a plant for the production of the famous foamy drink. He named his beer “Tuborg” in honor of the castle of the same name, which in the 17th century was the property of a wealthy merchant Jonas Tue. For the merchant, the house was a real fortress and defense. Hence the name. Indeed, in translation from Danish borg is “castle”, and Tuborg can be translated as “Tue castle”. So a person’s name usually goes down in history. Who would have thought that in a few hundred years the name of one of the residents of the capital's suburbs would be involuntarily pronounced by people around the world?

Tuborg beer immediately became very popular. The reason for this was not only the excellent taste and wonderful aroma of an old drink. To a greater extent, oddly enough, the role of packaging played here. In those years, beer was mainly sold in barrels, and the owners of Tuborg decided for the first time in the country to bottle it. This brought fame to the new drink.

Assortment of Tuborg

Tuborg beer cannot be confused with any other. The reason lies in his recipe. The secret is in the special yeast that is used to produce it. Their composition is protected by trade secrets and underlies the unique taste of the drink. Currently, the company produces several varieties of the famous beer. A table will help you get to know them.

Each of the above varieties is unique in its own way. But one thing unites them: a delicate and unusually light taste. Tuborg is perfect for a noisy party, as well as for intimate friendly conversation. There is no bitterness inherent in beer, so in the heat a glass of such a drink is simply irreplaceable. In modern factories, Tuborg is packed in glass bottles, cans and kegs.

What does the consumer think?

Now more than a hundred countries of the world sell Tuborg beer in their outlets. Customer reviews about him are mostly positive. Consumers note that beer is unusually light and extremely tasty. His head never hurts, even if you drink a lot. This fact alone speaks of the quality of the product.

But some do not like that. There are lovers who believe that beer must be strong, aromatic and have a pronounced bitterness in the taste. Such people leave negative reviews for the Tuborg drink. Less experienced buyers are not always able to notice the taste difference and distinguish one sort from another, so it is sometimes believed that all beer is bottled from one container, only the labels are different. Such an opinion is not worth paying attention to at all. In general, the vast majority still puts “Tuborg” an order of magnitude higher than many other, no less well-known brands of beer.

Beverage manufacturers

The Tietgen Brewery constantly increased production and delighted its customers with more and more new species. So, in 1880 Tuborg Green was launched, and five years later Tuborg Gold appeared. People really liked the new Tuborg beer. The manufacturer tried to satisfy the needs of the people. The drink has become more and more famous over the years. At first it was produced only for the domestic market, but eventually went beyond it. To strengthen its position, Karl Tietgen’s company in 1894 merged with eleven other breweries in the country, and a group was formed under the name The United Breweries, which competed with the famous Carlsberg company in those years.

Not even ten years had passed between the corporations an agreement was signed on the division of spheres of influence, and in 1970 the world-famous Carlsberg simply bought its competitor. Since that time, the popular Danish beer began to be produced in other countries of Europe. In 1991, a group of Scandinavian companies merged into a union called Baltic Beverages Holding, which invested in brewing in the countries of the former Soviet Union. The famous "Tuborg" began its campaign around the world, and now 21 countries produce it under license, not only in Europe, but also in Africa and Asia.

With my own eyes

Now almost any person in the world knows what Tuborg beer looks like. Photos of him flaunt in magazines, booklets and on advertising posters. In the pictures the product is visible in all its glory. The buyer may consider the original bottle with a convenient cork, for which no openers are needed. With the help of a special ring, it is easily removed in one motion. The label of each product is made to match the color of the product contained in it. This is done for the convenience of acquiring beer in a distribution network. The small figured sticker contains all the information about the drink and does not clutter the surface of the bottle. This makes it possible to consider its content.

The largest and most visible advertisement is the monument to the famous beer, installed on the territory of the manufacturer in Denmark. This structure is in the form of a bottle twenty-six meters high, inside which there is an elevator. With it, tourists can climb to the very top of the structure and enjoy the panorama of Copenhagen.

Which Tuborg is better?

tuborg light beer

As you know, mainly Tuborg is light beer. The exception is only Tuborg Black. All over the world, one brand of Denmark's ancient drink, Tuborg Green, is the most popular. This light lager is made from purified water, light barley malt, hop products and maltose syrup. The strength of the drink is relatively low and is only 4.6 percent. The special yeast that is used to prepare it gives the drink a unique taste, unique aroma and contribute to the creation of a stable foam in the glass. The latter quality is especially appreciated by connoisseurs of brewing art. The producers, wanting to emphasize the special uniqueness of the drink, placed on its label the exact image of the crown worn by the Queen of Denmark herself. Locals even jokingly notice that they now have not only Queen Margaret, but also King Tuborg. Such a comparison and popular recognition are the best characteristics that can only be given to any product.
