It is important that the parameters of not only the designation itself, but also its edging comply with state standards. - SDA 11.6 . The rules prescribe in conditions when overtaking a device equipped with the sign "Slow-moving vehicle" is difficult or impossible, the driver must stay to the right or even stop if necessary in order to miss the next high-speed motor vehicle.
- Code of Administrative Violations (Article 12.15, part 1, paragraph 1.1). The ambiguity of the concept
When passing the theoretical part of the driver’s license exam, many make the mistake of choosing the slow-moving means in the test incorrectly. The issue is resolved very simply. Slow-moving can only be considered vehicles that have the corresponding sign. Without it, even a tricycle and antediluvian cart cannot be called a slow-moving means of transportation.
SDA and slow moving means
Clause No. 11 of the Russian traffic rules categorically prohibits overtaking low-speed vehicles in the following sections of the track:
- Adjustable (with traffic lights) intersections.
- Unregulated intersections when driving on a non-main road.
- Railway crossings, as well as sections at a distance of no more than 100 m from them.
- T / s in front of you makes detour obstacles or overtaking.
- Bridges, overpasses, tunnels, overpasses and sections of the route under them.
