It is generally accepted that he appeared somewhere in the XII century, this happened when the ancient Slavs only learned to cook a broth. - mint (for decoration).

This drink is quite sweet. If you want moderately sweet sbiten, then you can add a little less jam. It is advisable to take it from blackcurrant. This will give the drink a special taste. But if this is not the case, then take your favorite jam. Then follow these steps:
- Pour the wine into a pan with a thick bottom and set it to heat. Then grate ginger.
- After the wine begins to boil, add all the other ingredients. After boiling, reduce heat and simmer for a few minutes.
- Strain the hot drink. To smooth out the sugaryness and sweetness a little, you can dilute it with boiling water. Garnish with mint leaves on top. But do it exclusively at will.
