There is no Belgian who has never heard of Leffe. Beer with this name is widely known both domestically and abroad.
How it all started

It all began many hundreds of years ago when the Catholic monks of the remote abbey “Notre Dame de Leffe” began to cook wonderful ale. In those days, many clergy in their secluded cloisters did this. They called the drink "Leffe." Beer received such a name as a tribute to the place where the priests lived and daily prayed to God. It was back in 1152. But, in spite of everything, fate was destined for these humble and hardworking people. For 750 years, the ancient monastery was robbed several times, several times it was destroyed, suffered a flood and even burned after the next raid of the troops of the Duke of Karl. At the end of the 19th century, the abbey was confiscated by the new government, and novices were forced to leave their abode. The opportunity to return appeared only in 1902. But only after 50 years, the monks managed to restore the production of their famous "Leffe". Beer regained its former glory. Since then, not only ordinary connoisseurs have become interested in him, but also the most famous producers of this foamy drink in the country. The largest beer company in Belgium, "Interbrew" acquired the right to produce products of this brand and since then the real "Leffe era" began. And near the old abbey, the Leffe Museum was opened. Beer with the same name in it is the main exhibit.

Varieties of a famous drink
The new drink was not like everything that was already produced in the world. The monks improved the traditional technology a bit. As a result, the beer they brewed was stronger and denser. But, oddly enough, the increased alcohol content (over 6 percent) in it was almost not felt. Most likely, various fruit additives and spices, which were added to the main recipe, contributed to this. This is his personality. Many people want to try the Belgian Leffe beer, and some states (Israel, Ukraine) even acquired licenses for the production of this drink in their own country. True, the quality of such products among experts is often in doubt. But this in a certain way only adds “Leffe” significance and popularity.
Currently, several varieties of the famous drink are known on the world market:

Considering the wishes of consumers, the world famous corporation produces draft beer “Leffe”. The enterprises launched a line for the production of a foamy drink in kegs with a capacity of 30 liters. Basically, the most popular drinks are packaged like this: Blonde and Brune. They are happy to take on the implementation of many beer bars in the world. This is not surprising, because they are considered the most prominent representatives of light and dark Belgian beer. For example, the light "Blonde", possessing a delicate aroma and spicy, refined taste, is perfect for any special occasion, and in order to have fun in splendid isolation. And the dark “Brune” can be served for dinner or eat at any time of the day along with spicy meat appetizers.

The increased strength and density noticeably distinguish this drink from the total mass.
