We are all very different. Some people radiate self-confidence, while others constantly show indecision and insecurity. Obviously, manipulating a weak person is much easier than those who are called a “strong personality”. Examples of a person who always occupies a dominant position can be cited ad infinitum. But can one say unequivocally who such a strong person is and how he differs from others?
Who can be called a strong man?
It is difficult to accurately describe all the qualities of a strong personality, but you can still highlight the main distinguishing features:
- A high level of self-confidence and self-confidence.
- The ability to control your emotions.
- A very important point - a strong person has a high degree of independence: he is independent of the opinions of others, various prejudices and public opinion.
- A strong individual always knows what he wants out of life, and is persistent in achieving his goals.
- A strong person looks at the world from a position of reason and can intelligently analyze events.
Of course, this is not an exhaustive description of a person on whom you can safely attach the label “strong personality”. Examples of a person with such qualities do not necessarily hiccup among famous and prominent people. Indeed, not all people who occupy serious government posts can be called a strong personality.
People with a strong character live among us. They do not necessarily hold prestigious positions and lead others. They simply remain themselves, do what they love and do not succumb to the influence of the crowd.
Strong = Successful?
Naturally, a strong person is much easier to achieve success. If a person has a goal and he constantly strives for it, then they usually say about him that he is a strong personality. Examples of a person who does not seek success, on the contrary, do not inspire respect among society. Such people are considered weak-willed and insecure.
But can it be argued that success and goal are one and the same? Is it really only a person who has achieved success can be attributed to the prestigious category of “strong personality”? People often do not fully understand the expression "strong man." Indeed, by the word "success" we often mean money, power and fame.
In fact, a self-sufficient person herself makes her choice, regardless of the opinions of others. For such people, success is not wealth, influence and glory. For them, success is not to succumb to the influence of others and to do what they personally want. It turns out that the goal and success are different things in the public understanding, but completely identical for a strong personality.
The ability to be an individual, to have an opinion and to adequately assess one’s strengths and weaknesses is what characterizes a strong personality. You can see examples of a person strong in spirit and character not only on the TV screen or in glossy magazines, but also in a tram, on the street or at work. Or maybe you are the really strong and self-sufficient person and are an example for many people.
