Bratislava park: description and photo

In the late nineties in the capital of Russia began the construction of new housing estates and neighborhoods in Maryino. Muscovites even jokingly called these places Russian Las Vegas, since the plan for the construction of buildings was unusual for our country and was similar to the “foreign” one. In 1998, the Bratislava Park opened in Maryino.

It symbolizes the friendship between Moscow and the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava, as evidenced by the inscription on the stone, which was laid by the delegation from Slovakia. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation initiated this idea.

Bratislava Park

Description of the park

Bratislava Park is located on an area of 7 hectares, it grows more than 35 thousand trees, there are lawns and flower beds. The green zone is separated from residential buildings by a hedge of shrubs. In the very center of the park is an artificial pond with a small island. The latter was chosen by wild ducks, which willingly nest there and fly away to the south in winter.

One of the most interesting places in the park is a slide on the shore of the pond (artificial artificial hill). It is never empty, in winter it is used for sledding and snowmobiling.

Today Bratislava Park is a place dear to the heart of Muscovites. This is confirmed by the fact that here you can often meet newlyweds surrounded by enthusiastic friends and relatives. By Moscow standards, the park is very young, but already has its own traditions. For example, on the day of the wedding, the bride and groom hold hands and climb the central hill up the stairs. By this they symbolically show that they are not afraid of obstacles and are ready to overcome the difficulties of living together and build a strong happy family.
