The collected raw materials are laid out in a uniform layer on paper and subjected to thorough drying in a darkened room. The main thing is to protect the plant from the penetration of sunlight, otherwise all benefits will disappear. Well-dried parts are folded into cloth bags.

Highlander's application in folk practice
In pharmacies, drugs based on knotweed are sold, which are indicated for peptic ulcer, gastritis and other pathologies. It’s easy to create a drug yourself. We buy or collect 20 grams of dried grass, grind it, fill it with warm water (250 ml), steam for about half an hour. Then we cover and insist for another hour. We filter out the finished infusion, dilute with a glass of water - store in the refrigerator for three days.
Inside, take 30 grams three times a day before meals. It is indicated for infertility, metabolic disorders, hormonal imbalances, kidney stones, internal bleeding, and gastrointestinal diseases. Also, therapeutic baths are made from the broth, compresses are applied to the affected areas.
About contraindications
An avian highlander is, without any doubt, a useful herb, although it has certain limitations and side effects. With abuse, it will provoke vascular thrombosis, arrhythmia and even stroke. It is not allowed to use with low blood pressure, chronic constipation, varicose veins, bladder disease. It is forbidden to plant pregnant (miscarriage is possible).
