Ireland experienced an unprecedented economic boom in the second half of the eighteenth century. Against this background, the production of alcoholic beverages grew. Many smart entrepreneurs quickly turned their attention to this industry, among others was John Jameson. Mr. Jameson was not new to this business and had an idea of what a good distillery should be like and how to manage it. After almost a year of thought, John decided to open his production on Dublin's Bone Street.
The four sons in the Jameson family grew up and became indispensable assistants. The second son, named in honor of his father, John, after his wedding, became a business partner. The family-owned company, renamed John Jameson & Son, began to work with renewed vigor, and soon became the leader among all distilleries in Ireland.
After the death of 83-year-old Jameson, the company completely transfers to John Jr. Around the same time, Irish whiskey is gaining popularity on
foggy Albion and bypasses its Scottish counterpart. Firstly, because of its softer and lighter taste. Secondly, due to well-established maritime logistics with neighboring England - the main consumer of Jameson whiskey. To date, the Jameson line of whiskey, available to a wide range of customers, looks like this:
1) The classic Jameson. A drink of at least six years old, prepared according to the traditional recipe of the Jameson family. It uses a blend of cereal and malt alcohols.
2) Jameson is 12 years old. The most famous blend line. Aged in oak barrels from under "Sherry" or "Bourbon". Caramel and oak notes stand out in the bouquet.
3) Jameson is 18 years old. The blend of the future masterpiece is aged in two stages: 1) sherry barrels of single malt wiki; 2) American Bourbon oak barrels.
4) Jameson Gold. A unique blend of classic blend and special reserve whiskey aged in new American oak barrels provides a long-lasting aftertaste.
