Overview
The opening of the Siberia stadium in Novosibirsk took place in 1964. The skating rink is based on special refrigeration units providing the necessary layer of artificial ice. Thanks to this, hockey players got the opportunity to train at any time of the year. World-class tournaments for the prizes of Alexander Karelin took place here.
In 2002, there was a radical change in artificial turf. Ice quality has improved significantly. Now here the residents of the city organize "mass skating." Local ice hockey club Sibir trains at the ice arena. Their victories glorified the team all over the world and brought general popularity.
Visitors can use the dance and gym. Athletic tracks are located on the third floor of the stadium, where athletics competitions are held.
The territory of the stadium seats 7300 spectators. The site is rightfully recognized as the largest and most comfortable in the city.
