Market "Little pink". "Gorbushka", Moscow (market). Electronics market

Of course, for a huge number of residents of the capital's metropolis, the phrase “Gorbushka market” became something of a native, because once it was the only place where you could get a copy, albeit a “pirate”, of a rare movie or audio cassette with recordings of your favorite rock band .

Surely everyone will agree that “Gorbushkin Dvor” is the most famous trade zone that has long been formed into a certain brand, and in fairness it must be said that some “dishonest” entrepreneurs tried to appropriate it.

A bit of history

It should be noted that the Gorbushka market did not appear immediately - it was a natural stage in its formation. It all started on the territory of the Gorbunov Palace of Culture, where concerts of representatives of "Soviet" rock - groups "DDT", "Nautilus Pompilius", "Aquarium" were regularly organized.

The capital club of philophonists was also located here, which was more reminiscent of a certain alliance of interests in the acquisition, sale and exchange of foreign vinyl records. The “brain” of such an association was “professional Soviet speculators” who sold recordings of foreign music performers on all then known media: tapes, reels and vinyl records.

Initially, trading was not very intense. The Gorbushka market, whose participants were exclusively philophonists, occupied only the inner space of the Gorbunov Palace of Culture. Over time, the club of philophonists began to disintegrate, and by the mid-80s of the last century, merchants began to offer their goods directly in the fresh air - in the alleys leading to the recreation center.

Heyday of trade

Already in the early 90s of the last century, the Gorbushka market became one of the most popular places of trade. It was a time when new trends in civil society were irreversible and widespread. In a matter of months, the shops on Gorbushka grew like mushrooms after rain, but they didn’t look like modern shopping malls — they were simple stalls. The assortment of products offered also increased.

Markets in Moscow

In fairness, it should be noted that audio and video cassettes could be purchased not only in the Gorbushka Dvor, but real experts and connoisseurs of the case went to this place for goods. Why? This was because here it was possible to buy the first copies of records made from the original. Over time, Gorbushka’s businessmen began selling ordinary copied material, and in 1992-1993 the entire market was already filled with an unimaginably diverse assortment of models of household appliances and electronics.

Age of CD

It should be noted that in the early 90s of the last century, most of the CDs on Gorbushka Dvor were pirated, while licensed video tapes could be found much more often. The main suppliers of "fakes" in the Russian market were countries such as China, Ukraine and Bulgaria. However, domestic businessmen did not want to lag behind competitors, and soon Russian companies began to supply consumers with pirated copies. Of course, if the buyer was looking for something exclusive and at the same time real, then he was offered this at a triple price.

In conditions of unfair competition, the rightholders had no choice but to incur losses, but they soon found a way out: special products in Russian began to be created. They were a little more expensive than pirated copies, but cheaper than the original.

Market closure rumors

At the beginning of the zero years of this century, businessmen and buyers suddenly started talking about the fact that the city authorities would close the shopping complex, which is considered the largest center for the sale of unlicensed products.

Add fuel to the fire and journalists who misinterpreted the words of one of the chiefs of the capital UBEP. Then the headlines of the capital’s newspapers were full of words that they would not close Gorbushka today, tomorrow.

Despite the fact that the electronics market, located on the territory of the Gorbushkin Dvor, was a popular place for shopping, since there were always low prices, local officials and the administration of DK Gorbunov considered the above trade zone as a threat to the domestic economy. One way or another, but none of the supervisory structures had a clear solution to this problem.

Shops in Gorbushka

"Little pink" was formed in a spontaneous manner, and there was no official documentation on the establishment of this facility. For this reason, closing the market from a legal point of view was also not easy.

The market closing procedure is implemented in practice

Nevertheless, the time has come when Gorbushkin Dvor ceased to function. The initiators of this were representatives of the interdepartmental commission, which were authorized to issue official permits for the sale of licensed products. The officials issued a document authorizing trade for the Gorbushkin Dvor merchants for a period of six months, after which their business ceased. It should be noted that other markets in Moscow, for example, those located at the metro stations "Riga", "Prague" and "Yasenevo", received permits, the term of which was much longer.

However, the entrepreneurs of Gorbushka were not going to give up just like that: they regularly staged protests. Nevertheless, they did not have the desired effect, and over time the activists went home.

The brand began to be used everywhere.

After the merchants from Gorbushka were left without work, shopping malls hiding behind the famous brand began to appear in the capital's metropolis.

Gorbushka Market Address

One of the first to position itself as the Gorbushkin Dvor Musical Park, located near the Maryino metro station. After that, the administrations of the Mitinsky market and the market located near the Mozhayskoye Highway wanted to get a certain status. A little more time passed, and "Gorbushki" appeared both in CSKA and within the borders of the Rubin plant. The first, it should be noted, did not last long. The second founder was the owner of the previous music market himself - he also formalized all the rights to the Gorbushkin Dvor brand and assured all unscrupulous businessmen that he would zealously defend them if necessary in court.

"Little pink" today

Currently, "Gorbushka" is a modern shopping and entertainment complex with a covered area. It is located on the territory of the Rubin plant. Today, as in Soviet times, games, films and music with pirated software are being implemented.

However, there are plenty of licensed products. If you need a modern and functional tablet, TV or powerful speaker system, then you will find all this in the electronics stores of the Gorbushkin Dvor.

How to get there

Many guests of the capital, and even native Muscovites, are interested in the question of how to get to the Gorbushkin Dvor. The easiest way is to use public transport. By metro you need to get to the Bagrationovskaya station, and from there you need to go towards the market, after which the former Rubin factory building is located on the left side.
