In a modern politicized society built on the mass media, many specialized terms gradually enter everyday communication. This word is often mentioned in connection with the upcoming elections, other legislative or social activity, but can also be used in a figurative sense.

In a figurative sense and with an ironic subtext, the term is used to fake an interlocutor who selflessly and enthusiastically talks about something. It is not necessary to try to persuade to hear a capacious definition.
Appropriateness of use
On a formal basis, “campaigning” is to conduct an information campaign. The word is neutral, although in recent years it has gained a slight negative connotation due to the satiety of society with scandalous revelations, intrigues, and investigations.
