JSC “Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant named after Plandin” is a city-forming enterprise, the well-being of the hundred thousandth city of Arzamas depends on its work. It produces hardware components and devices for the aviation industry, the space industry, and civil purposes.
Description
For over 60 years, the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant has been mastering advanced technologies, progressive methods of work in the commodity market, new types of products, and is systematically developing production. APZ maintains a leading position in the production of equipment, instruments and systems for air defense systems and the aviation industry, medical equipment, energy metering devices, safety devices for road-building machines, parts for the automotive industry, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
The company's products are widely known in the Russian Federation and abroad. The Arzamas instrument-making industry is developing dynamically, its departments are constantly being reorganized, new specialized production facilities are being created, which allows increasing volumes and expanding the product range.
In the spirit of the best traditions, a youth organization is actively working - the Council of Working Youth. A special pride of the plant is the labor collective. The life and work of thousands of Arzamas residents are inextricably linked with the instrument-making plant, where whole dynasties work. The objects of social and cultural life were preserved and strengthened:
- Prevention "Morozovsky".
- House of Culture "Rhythm".
- Sports club "Banner".
- Black Sea recreation center.
Production start
The first products for aviation, the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant began to produce in 1958. First mastered the release of the integrated connector of the pilot's seat in an airplane (ORK-2). Next began the production of angular velocity sensors. The enterprise was actually the leading one in this industry, and at many factories of the USSR they knew the famous Plandin DUSs. Since 1962, the company begins the production of sophisticated instruments for the aviation industry.
As the plant grew older, the accuracy of manufactured instruments increased. Linear acceleration sensors (DLU), three-stage gyroscopy were mastered, airborne complexes using sensors of their own manufacture began to be manufactured. APZ icing signaling devices were installed practically on all aircraft equipment.
Instruments for the aerospace industry
Now the Arzamas Instrument - Making Plant named after P.I. Plandin produces more than one hundred types of products of the aviation industry: angular and linear acceleration sensors, DOSs, free gyroscopes, gyrostabilizers, icing indicators, various types of actuator actuators, dynamically adjustable gyroscopes, test panels, feedback sensors , control systems, on-board computers.
Angular velocity sensors are available both direct measurement (DUSTU, DUSU), and more accurate, compensation type (DUSVCH, DUS300T). DLVCH linear acceleration sensors are used in traction control machines in many aircraft. Due to the ease of use, the compact DLUMM sensors and high-frequency sensors DLUCH are used not only in aircraft, but also in construction, road equipment and railway transport.
Gyro Production
The highlight of the company is gyroscopy. Free three-stage gyroscopes are produced for own needs (used in control systems and autonomous liquidation systems produced by the plant), but recently the GSI-T, which was specially developed as a telemetry device and is indispensable during flight tests, has become very popular with control system developers.
In the 80s, the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant made a leap in the production of gyroscopes, starting the production of inertial navigation systems :
- DUS-300T - for medium-sized ones with a random drift of 18 degrees / hour.
- High-precision GVK-6 with a random drift of 0.03 degrees / hour.
- GVK-6 - it became the first dynamically tuned gyroscope (DNG).
Modernization
Over the past years, thanks to the technical re-equipment program adopted by the company's management, a large-scale re-equipment of the machine park has been carried out. The plant uses a large number of processing centers of world manufacturers.
Thanks to equipping scientific departments with modern computers and software, the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant named after Plandin was able to start independent development of gyroscopes. The development of the DNGDP-3001, which, thanks to the patented solution, has a random drift from start to launch with 5 degrees / hour with a small size and a range of 300 degrees per second, has been completed. The DUS300T was modernized, which made it possible to reduce the availability time to 4 seconds while reducing the sensitivity threshold. At the same time, the device retained such an advantage of the float gyroscope as high mechanical strength.
A new area of the plant’s activity was the development of a micromechanical accelerometer, which should replace the traditional mechanical one. At present, the idea of a solid-state wave gyroscope is undergoing a rebirth, and the expansion of a number of dynamically tuned gyroscopes continues. All this will allow updating a number of special-purpose products manufactured by AO “APZ” for the aviation industry.
Instruments for anti-aircraft missile systems
In 1965, the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant mastered the production of the first rocket stabilization system relative to the center of mass. In the late 70s, the release of an integrated cruise missile control and navigation system was mastered. Moreover, gyroscopes, inertial navigation system and on-board computer were made on their own. This entailed the development of precision machining, the PCB workshop, assembly production and the formation of highly qualified scientific, technical and production personnel. Until now, control systems for air defense systems and targets remain one of the main types of enterprise products.
These systems have the highest technical level, are created on the most modern elemental base, using self-made sensor equipment, including their own developments. The company also complements the manufactured drive control systems, and some with gyrostabilizers.
Instruments for space
Since the late 60s, the Arzamas instrument-making plant for various types of launch vehicles has been producing actuators. They control the thrust of space rocket engines. The design developed half a century ago turned out to be extremely successful: the IM-25 and IM-16 will be put on promising starships of future generations.
Only in 2009, the BDG-6 was removed from production - a block of damping gyroscopes designed decades ago. It is replaced by a more modern BDG-36, designed for the "Angara" and "Zenith".
Reviews
The partners of the Arzamas plant highly value the devices manufactured by the enterprise. Half-century traditions of production culture, highly qualified personnel, constantly upgraded equipment allow us to achieve consistently high quality products with the best in class characteristics.
