VKontakte is by far the most popular social network in our country; more than 40 million people visit it daily. Here you can listen to music, join various communities and participate in discussions, play applications, watch pictures and, of course, chat with friends. Over time, each user gets a decent archive of received and outgoing messages. And, let's say, one day you decided to get rid of the old unnecessary
information and at once delete all messages "in contact". However, not all so simple. The fact is that there is no such possibility - there is a limit on the number of once-deleted messages. So how to solve this problem as quickly as possible and with a minimum number of operations?
In this article, I will describe various ways to delete personal correspondence. However, note: before deleting all messages in "VKontakte", make sure that they are not important among them, because the process of their recovery can take a long time. You can restore deleted VKontakte messages either through a friend you corresponded with (unless, of course, your friend deleted anything), or through the social network administration: you submit an application in which you ask to restore accidentally deleted important messages. It will take several days to consider (because there are not a thousand of such cases per day), the decision on approval will be sent to the email account assigned to the account.
So, you are convinced that there is no valuable information in your correspondence history and decided on the last step. The question remains: how? There are three ways to delete all VKontakte messages .
Method 1. Standard
We go to the "Messages" tab. Here, your correspondence is displayed either as dialogs or as messages. Click "Display as Messages." A new option “Highlight: all, read, new” will be displayed at the top. Select the messages we need, checkmarks will appear in front of them. You can select 20 at a time. Further
click "Delete." This method is the longest and obviously not suitable for those who have accumulated more than one thousand messages in their personal archive.
Method 2
We translate the display mode into interactive. Please note that when you hover over the dialog box in the upper right corner, a cross lights up. We click on it, then on the inscription "Delete". And so dialogue after dialogue.
Method 3
It is also worth a little talk about how to delete all messages in VK using scripts. A script is a set of commands written in a programming language and
executed by a running program. On the Internet, with the appropriate request, you can find many java scripts with which you can perform actions such as deleting all messages in VKontakte, download videos and music, delete all notes from the wall, invite all friends to a group and much more. That is, the script repeatedly performs the same operation. How to use it? We copy the text of the java script and paste it into the URL string, after opening the page in VK where we want to make changes. A running process may take some time.
