And all because his fights in the octagon were never boring and monotonous. But about everything, as they say, in order.

Performances in Japan

Speaking at Dream tournaments, Geghard Musashi became a real star in the land of the Rising Sun. His most striking performance was the fight with Tsuyoshi Kurihara, whom the naturalized Dutchman was able to knock out 10 seconds after the start of the fight. This victory was the fastest in the entire career of Musashi, which after that was replete with bright wins, with many eminent fighters.

In general, almost all fights in Japan ended victoriously for Geghard, except for the fight with Akihiro Gono, in which the “Dreamcatcher” lost by a painful hand technique (elbow lever).

Grand Prix Win

In 2008, the Armenian fighter Geghard Musashi wins the prestigious Dream tournament in the middle weight category, having defeated the famous Brazilian fighter Ronaldo Souzu in the final match. It is noteworthy that Geghard conducted the preparations for this battle together with the famous Russian champion Fedor Emelianenko. It was after these trainings that Musashi decided to go into the heavy weight category in the future, having seen that dimensions do not always play a decisive role in achieving victory.

The performances in this promotion for the Armenian-Dutch fighter can be called more than successful. Career at UFC

At the moment, the record of Musashi's appearances in the world's leading fighting promotion is 4 wins in 7 fights. This, of course, is far from the result that was expected from the eminent athlete. And it goes without saying that such a state of affairs does not suit the fighter himself, because initially, after his transition from Strikeforce, he was perceived as one of the contenders for the title. But still, do not write off Geghard. He is still dangerous for his opponents and very interesting for the public. What are his fights with Dan Henderson, Lioto Machida, Ronaldo Souza worth?

Offensive loss

Geghard Musashi, whose defeats all have a rather bitter aftertaste, only becomes stronger from this. The most striking and extremely unpleasant fiasco for the former champion of the two promotions was his confrontation with Yurai Hall at the UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Barnett in September 2015. It was a one hundred percent upset that no one expected, but nevertheless it happened. The American was able to find strength and show a phenomenal performance, knocking out Musashi.
