At the first opportunity, the young leader entered the Higher School of Entrepreneurship and Privatization. There he deeply studied such a direction as “Securities”. 1994 - the time when he became vice president of LUKOIL Leonid Fedun. The businessman’s wife is currently a co-owner of the company, and the board of directors is headed by Valery Graifer.

Club purchase

In 2003, Leonid Fedun acquired FC Spartak. A controlling stake was sold to him by Andrey Chervichenko (former club president). Fedun invested not only personal funds in the most titled team of the Russian Federation. The businessman attracted major sponsors to this. And it brought results. A year later, the club’s budget reached $ 40 million. The funds received brought Spartak out of a deep crisis. Not only issues of financial support for coaches and athletes were resolved, but prerequisites were created for the formation of an effective football structure on the basis of the club.
