At the same time, according to the memoirs of relatives, he did not strive much for this. Yes, he wanted to write, he wanted the work of the authors to be paid with dignity, but Pushkin didn’t even think about such a grand success, despite the fact that during his lifetime many sang songs of praise to him.
The poet died from a mortal wound received during a duel with Georges Charles Dantes. Death came two days after the tragedy.
