While South Korea is a country of prosperity and democratic norms, North, in turn, is quite poor. At the same time, both countries hate each other. The reason for this hatred is ideology. After Japan surrendered in 1945, two ideologies gained power over Korea: a communist one over the north, and a capitalist one over the south. One excludes the other, and the country is naturally divided into two parts, military conflicts begin.
