Arturo Vidal was born on May 22, 1987 in Chile in the city of Santiago, where he began to play football at the age of ten at the academy of the small club “Rodellino Roman”. In 2004, when he was 17 years old, Arturo moved to the larger club, “Deportes Melipiglia”, but a year later signed a professional contract with “Kolo-Kolo”, for which he began to play the same year. However, the young player was not immediately able to break into the base of the club, so his debut took place only in 2006. He spent 20 matches that season, scoring three goals.
