First of all, disconnect the laptop from the network, unplug the power cord and completely unplug it. Next, disconnect the battery and set it aside. Now you can disassemble. That is precisely its purpose, and for this you need quite a bit. Otherwise, replacing the thermal paste on the Lenovo Z570 laptop will not give the expected effect, because a large layer will slow down the process of heat transfer from the processor to the radiator.
After applying thermal paste, gently wipe the edges of the surface of the processors. Do not allow this mixture to get on the chip body, which is not intended to be applied to it.
