Organization Communications

What are we talking about? On the methods of transmitting information. Probably, you should not go deep into thinking about how important the efficiency for the normal functioning of the company, since this is all so obvious.

The types of communications in the organization are different. If we take the structural and hierarchical division criterion, then it is worth saying that they are vertical or horizontal. Horizontal ones are connected with the exchange of information at the same level - that is, people holding the same positions communicate information to each other necessary for the normal functioning of the enterprise. What is vertical communication in an organization? This is the interaction of subordinates and managers. Everything here is based on the transmission of reports on the work done, giving tasks, making suggestions, explanations, appeals and so on.

In management activities distinguish interpersonal communication. In this case, it is necessary that the subjects of communication are in direct contact. Interpersonal communication is associated with certain subjective barriers. Often they arise from the hostile attitude of the parties to each other. Also, do not forget that all people perceive the same information in different ways. It is not only about semantic barriers, but also about the emotional attitude of people to certain issues.

The degree of formalization is another criterion for division. It is about standardizing the relationship between recipients and communicators. In organizations, they are usually governed by accepted norms, regulations, rules, and articles of association. Observance of all this leads to the fact that the company works smoothly, and discipline is at a high level. Of course, formal communications in an organization create certain barriers between employees, but the benefits are really great. Note that today some modern enterprises are trying to simplify them.

Informal communications in the organization are also possible. Most often they are aimed at meeting the needs of individuals or social groups. Informal relations in most cases are hierarchical in nature, can be both horizontal and vertical.

Communication in the organization is also non-verbal and verbal. Verbal, in turn, is further divided into oral and written.

The effectiveness of communication largely depends on the internal structure of the enterprise, on the people who occupy leadership positions in it. The notification and information transfer system should work without fail. Why are there problems? The reasons are varied. They can be connected with the fact that employees are not interested in doing their work as efficiently as possible, and in the fact that the ways of transmitting information are not worked out.

Communication management - this is what today they are trying to solve certain issues of communication in the organization. Yes, success can indeed be achieved only with the help of certain knowledge, methods and techniques. A modern manager is a person who really knows how to organize a work process.
