2. To install on a PC, you will need two utilities: MultiBeast and UniBeast.

4. 8 GB flash drive.
5. In order for OS X to work stably on a personal computer, it must have a processor from Intel.
6. Back up your existing OS. If something goes wrong, you may lose all data.
7. This manual is in printed form. If you do not have another gadget with access to the Internet at hand, print the instructions on a sheet so as not to forget any item.

Macbook

We begin our instructions with what is easier. Suppose you already have a MacBook with the Mavericks OS installed on it. The installation process itself will not take much time and will be carried out using built-in utilities. So how to install OS X Yosemite in addition to Mavericks?

1. First, download the operating system distribution.
2. Now run the built-in Disk Utility service.
3. In the window that opens, select your hard drive.
4. A description appears on the right side of the screen. We are interested in the "Disk Partition" item.
5. Under the scheme, click the plus sign.
6. After a new section appears, select it, rename it and specify the desired size. Click "Apply."

This concludes the first step in installing Yosemite OS X. How to install it now on a new and clean partition?

1. The downloaded OS will be in DMG format. Unzip this file to the Applications folder.
2. Run it. Confirm your agreement with the license agreement.
3. When choosing the installation path, do not forget to specify a new (empty) section.
4. Create a password and wait for the installation to complete.

In principle, that’s all. For greater efficiency, we now look at the initial setup of switching between systems. Unfortunately, to do this without a complete reboot of the system does not work, as in Windows. There are two ways to choose a system.

1. When starting the laptop, press the optional key. You will be able to select “special boot options,” including various operating systems.
2. If the gadget is already turned on, go to the system settings. You need a boot volume. Select the desired OS and click "reload".

Mac

How to install OS X Yosemite on a Windows PC has been of interest to many for a long time. If earlier this was fraught with certain difficulties, now the only necessary condition is the presence of an Intel processor, and in our case also a MacBook.

1. First, make sure that you have done everything indicated in the "Preparation".
2. Connect the USB flash drive and run the disk utility on the MAC.
3. Select a flash drive. Go to "Disk Partition". Select the only existing section and click "Options." There, specify the option "Boot record".
4. Specify the Mac OS X Extended format.
5. Now run the UniBeast utility. Skip the first four screens.
6. When needed, select the flash drive we created.
7. On the Installation Type page, verify that Yosemite OS X is listed. How do I make the necessary settings? To use this OS on a laptop, select Laptop Support.
8. Create a password and start the installation. The whole process will take approximately 20 minutes.

Now it's time to install the operating system. To get started, go to the BIOS and specify the boot from the USB flash drive.

1. Now start the PC from the USB flash drive.
2. Then everything is simple. Run the disk utility.
3. We select the section we need, indicate the GUID partition scheme and the Mac OS X Extended format.
4. After formatting is completed, close the utility.
5. Choose the installation path and click on.

Boot volume

After you installed the operating system, you need to configure it as a startup boot. To do this, restart the computer again from the bootable USB flash drive and run the MultiBeast utility.
