In 2014, the Russian Park (Pereslavl-Zalessky) was opened, which introduces the culture and traditions of the Russian people. History of occurrence
It is no coincidence that the Russian Park cultural and historical center appeared in Pereslavl-Zalessky. This city is the heart of the Golden Ring. It was founded in 1152 by Yuri Dolgoruky, Alexander Nevsky was born here. Pereslavl-Zalessky witnessed many glorious events in Russian history. Tourists love the city for its compactness and special atmosphere, walks along the old streets and along the promenade of Lake Pleshcheyev leave a lasting impression.
In order to provide travelers with the opportunity to delve deeper into an interesting distinctive culture and history, it was planned to create an ethnic park, and so the “Russian Park” appeared. Its creation was preceded by a great ethnographic work, the concept and layout of the territory was carefully thought out. On July 27, 2014, a grand opening took place.

The author of a grandiose project was Sergey Efimenko, an entrepreneur from the Urals. Thanks to his efforts and investments, the historical and cultural center “Russian Park” (Pereslavl) appeared on the territory of 10 hectares. It includes ten interactive venues where tours, games, master classes, various festivals, holidays, corporate programs are held. Themed expositions are systematically created.

First in the world
The Russian Park Museum (Pereslavl) begins with a site dedicated to national inventors. About 200 world-class exhibits are displayed here: from tetris and gypsum to a hydrogen bomb and radio. The purpose of the exposition is to show how talented the Russian people are.

Museum of Russian Fun “Parsley”
A collection of sayings, games and proverbs of 30 thousand units is collected in Pereslavl. The Russian Park and the Petrushka Museum represent a special recreational area that acquaints visitors with the origins of street entertainment, the world of folk theater, its traditions and principles, the world of Russian folklore, proverbs and sayings. The exhibition presents a wide variety of dolls, some samples can be bought as souvenirs.
House-cottage and national women's costume
The Russian Park in Pereslavl-Zalessky also shows the lives of people from closer times. So, the Russian Dacha pavilion is an example of a 19th century country house; the architect Kuznetsov created the house project. This mansion has absorbed typical features of summer cottages near Moscow and St. Petersburg. It recreated the life of that time and presented a unique collection of women's costumes of the late 19th century. In national dress you can even take a picture if you wish.
Park Alleys
In addition to pavilions with expositions in the form of Russian log huts, the park has many open areas decorated in accordance with various topics. Five alleys allow you to learn a lot about our culture.
Alley "Russian style in architecture" presents projects of summer houses and estates of the 19th century, created by domestic urban planners in accordance with national traditions. This is followed by an alley decorated with stands with 24 samples of fonts from ancient manuscripts (from the 9th to the 18th century). A platband alley presents samples of carved decorative frames collected in different parts of Russia. Here you can see unusually decorated birdhouses in the Russian style. On the avenue of celebration, you can admire the flags of various purposes and different territories that existed since the 9th century. Alley of Russian paintings represents 30 samples of wall paintings from different regions of Russia.
"Russian life"
The Painted Russian Huts Museum is designed to debunk the myth that the Russian people lived in dark smoked huts. Here you can see samples of interior paintings from different parts of the country.
Today, to see the beauty of the folk painting of the huts, it is enough to come to Pereslavl. Russian Park offers two buildings for inspection. This is the “Ural hut” and “Aleshkin house”. The first is a copy of the hut from the village of Nizhnyaya Sinyachikha, Sverdlovsk Region. The second - the museum "Aleshkin House". Comparing them, you can see how national traditions developed in different regions. The interior of the huts is decorated with household items in these regions. Here you can see a wooden spinning wheel, folk musical instruments, painted household utensils. Those who wish can also take part in the master class and pick up the resulting artifact as a souvenir. "Cossack Yard"
Arriving in Pereslavl ("Russian Park"), you can touch the Cossack culture. Museum "Cossack Yard" every Sunday holds equestrian acrobatic performances with the participation of real Cossacks. Visitors can try themselves in the role of riders, train in horseback riding, and learn how to wield a saber. The exposition demonstrates Cossack household items, costumes, combat banners.
Glade of fairy tales and a playground
For young visitors, Russian Park (Pereslavl-Zalessky) offers to spend time in the alley and meadow of children's fairy tales. A wooden playground will allow children to splash out energy and practice agility. There is also a contact zoo where you can get acquainted with animals. In a huge sandbox, there is enough space for everyone to cook up a small cake. This zone introduces the characters of Russian fairy tales and helps children plunge into the world of folk art. For them, workshops are held on modeling, drawing, sewing.

Kvass and tea tasting museums offer not only to try national drinks, but also to participate in tea drinking rituals and see how real kvass is brewed. The chef prepares many dishes according to old recipes, including branded borsch on seven types of meat, the creation of which requires at least 5 hours to be spent.
