Unfortunately, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other post-Soviet countries cannot boast of serious achievements in the football field. Moreover, the appearance of a new star in one of these states is equivalent to a complete miracle. Such a discovery for Ukraine was Konoplyanka Eugene, a 24-year-old winger, who plays for Dnipropetrovsk Dnipro. He has already managed to make himself known to the whole world, and the leading European clubs are fighting for him.
The beginning of the football path
Linnet Eugene did not stand out among his peers in terms of football at a young age - he played well, but it was difficult to immediately notice him in the crowd. Therefore, he, who was born in 1989 in Kirovograd, began his football career in this city. And Kirovograd is clearly not one of the main football cities in Ukraine. Therefore, Eugene at 13 years old enrolled in the school of the local “Olympic”, where he began his football development. At the age of 15, he transferred to Kirovograd Youth Sports School number two, where he was already noticed by representatives of a more serious club. So at the age of 16, Konoplyanka Eugene fell into the Dnepropetrovsk system of the Dnieper.
Early years in the Dnieper
After moving to Dnepropetrovsk, Eugene began to quickly master in a new environment for him. At the age of 17, he had already made it to the team’s double, a year later he received the first call to the main team and first entered the field as part of big football. It was a match with Goverla, where Linnet replaced Jaba Kankawa and spent 8 minutes on the field.
Career takeoff
At 19, Konoplyanka Eugene periodically replaced in the matches of the Dnipro, which, of course, had a positive effect on its development. The guy quickly progressed, turning from a vague promising junior into a full-fledged high-level football player. At 20, Konoplyanka was already a regular player of the Dnipro base, and at 21, he was recognized as the best footballer of the year in Ukraine.
But it was too early to judge - yet such an age is the most dangerous, and a player who shot at 21 years old can well go out by 23 and become an ordinary middle peasant. Therefore, Eugene did everything to prove that he was worthy of both his rank and the opinion that the football community had already formed about him. And two years later he demonstrated that he was not going to take everything for granted and stall his development.
In 2012, the best football player of the year in Ukraine was again declared, and Evgeni Konoplyanka became the owner of this title. His biography by the age of 24 had two marks that Eugene was recognized as the best in his homeland. And now Konoplyanka is quite ready to take his first step into the world of serious football - he was already interested in a number of German top clubs such as Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and even Borussia from Dortmund.
Eugene also attracted the close attention of the Italian “Fiorentina”, the French “Paris Saint-Germain” and the English “Tottenham”. The closest to signing a contract with Konoplyanka was Liverpool, but at the last moment the Dnepr leadership disrupted the deal. But you won’t be forcibly sweet; therefore, in the coming summer, Ukrainian talent will most likely leave its current club in order to transfer to a stronger and more competitive team.
Linnet in the national team
Eugene made his debut rather early in the national team of his country. He was only 20 years old when he played his first match for Ukraine. Four years have passed since then, and Eugene has already managed to hold 12 official and 27 friendly matches for his national team, scoring 10 goals and giving 5 assists. He even managed to take part in
the 2012 European Championship , which, incidentally, was held in the native fields of Ukraine. Of course, the championship was held jointly with Poland, but it can still be considered home. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian team failed to break into the World Cup in Brazil, so Eugene will not be able to demonstrate himself at an even higher level.
The personal life of a football player
But football is far from everything that makes Eugene’s life. Of course, training, matches, traveling to other cities - all this takes a lot of time, but the football player has time and personal life. The girl Yevgeny Konoplyanka Victoria lives with him, so they do not have to spend time on meetings to be together. One very unusual story is even connected with her: information appeared in the media that Eugene was married to Victoria. But Konoplyanka Eugene with his wife Victoria is a fiction. This was announced by the footballer himself: he said that he lives with his girlfriend in a civil marriage and is in no hurry to legitimize relations.
As it becomes obvious, with the advent of fame, Eugene also received the yellow press, which will be another mysterious story about the personal and professional life of a football player. But he is ready for such a turn of events, therefore he is not afraid of slander of journalists either at home or in Europe, where the young couple may very well move in the near future if Eugene changes his club registration.
