Already in 1999, he joined the academy of the large club "Lance", in which he trained for eight years. Even then, scouts of one of the strongest clubs in England - “Chelsea”, who invited the young player to him, looked after him. Chelsea Game and Rentals

Chelsea initially relied on the Congolese, so he played for the double and was periodically called up to the main team. In his first season, Gael Kakuta, a football player who had high expectations, entered the field only four times, and in the second - already 12, but the club decided that the winger needed practice in order to qualify for a base. Therefore, Kakuta embarked on a long and uninterrupted rental trip. He hadn't put on the Chesley T-shirt. First, he spent six months at Fulham, playing seven matches and scoring one goal. Then he spent the first half of the 11/12 season at Bolton, entering the field six times and scoring one goal. Then Gael played the season in the French “Dijon”, where he appeared on the field 16 times, scoring five goals.

This was followed by a long-term lease for a year and a half in the Dutch Vitesse, where Kakuta played in forty matches and scored four goals. He played in the Italian Lazio for another six months, but there he was able to enter the field only twice. In 2014, Kakuta went to the Spanish club Rayo Vallecano for an entire season and showed an impressive result - 35 matches, five goals and an enthusiastic audience. By that time, Gael was already 24 years old, so Chelsea no longer regarded him as a young and promising footballer. But the performances for the “Rayo Vallecano” looked closely at the big Spanish club “Seville”. The Spaniards paid Chelsea six million euros, and Kakuta moved to Seville.

Transition to Seville

However, the player did not work out in a new place - for six months he appeared on the field only five times, scoring only one goal. Gael would most likely have sunk into a deep reserve, but then the Chinese club Hebei China Fortun appeared, which offered five million for the Congolese. Seville agreed, and in February 2016, Kakuta moved to China.

In his youth, Kakuta played for the youth teams of France of various age categories, since he was born in this country, and therefore had the right to choose. Together with the youth team, he even won the 2010 European Championship, becoming the best player in the tournament. But when Kakuta outgrew this level, he realized that in the adult French team he would have no chance. Therefore, he recently announced that he plans to play for the Congo national team - and now he is waiting for his first call. As of today, Gael does not have a single match for the national team, be it Congo or France, on a professional level. As for youth competitions, he played in sixty matches in various age categories, scoring fifteen goals.
