280 years of history

The company "Motovilikhinsky plants" without stretch is called legendary. Founded in 1736 by a brilliant diplomat, geographer and politician Vasily Tatishchev, she became the leading manufacturer of artillery weapons in the Russian Empire.

In Soviet times, the glory of the enterprise only increased. If on the fields of World War I every 5th gun was from Perm, then in the Great Patriotic War already 40% of domestic guns were produced at Motovilikhinsky factories. During the years of Soviet power, the team was awarded five times the highest state orders - not many enterprises can boast of such achievements.

Swords on yelling

Of course, the company is known not only as a manufacturer of weapons. Initially, it was created for the smelting of metals, first copper, then cast iron and steel. In different years, the most famous metallurgists worked here: Vorontsov N.V., Shteinberg S.S., Petukhov G.K., Tyzhnov V.I. and others. And during the period from 1968 to 1985, 10 engineers became candidates of technical sciences.

The first Ural open-hearth furnace (1876) was built at a plant in Perm, the most powerful 50-ton steam hammer in Europe (1875) was built in Europe, electric welding (1888) was developed and first used in world practice. Unfortunately, today the company is faced with financial difficulties hindering the further development of production. It is hoped that the new director of Motovilikhinsky Plants, Anokhin A. V., will be able to regain its former glory to the legendary enterprise.

Artillery - god of war

The production of guns in Perm was established in the second half of the 19th century. Steel cannon production was launched in 1863, and two years later - iron cannon. By the way, in 1885, the craftsmen of the Motovilikhinsky Plants cast the so-called Perm Tsar Cannon - the largest (20 inches) cast iron cannon. In 1871, both industries were combined. Before the revolution, the basis of production was tools for siege, naval, serf, and field artillery.

Starting from the 30s of the XX century, the modernization and updating of manufactured weapons has taken place. The M-10, ML-20, M-30 howitzers, A-19, M-60 guns were some of the best in their class. By 1945, the company supplied the army with 48,600 guns.

With the beginning of the ideological confrontation with the West, the development of artillery accelerated. The old howitzers were replaced by the more powerful M-46 and M-47. The development of self-propelled and towed guns of the β€œflower” series began in the 1950s. Large-caliber guns for the Hyacinths (152 mm), Acacia (152 mm), and Tulip (240 mm) were manufactured at Motovilikhinsky Factories. The 120 mm regimental artillery was not forgotten. Since 1996, a firing structure has been developed for fortified points of the Gorchak series.

Metallurgy

Motovilikhinsky Plants OJSC continued the glorious history of Perm metallurgists. Currently, products under the brand name Motovilikha are stably sold in the domestic market and are also exported to countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.

The company has all types of metallurgical redistribution and integrated technology, which includes:

  • steel smelting in open-hearth furnaces with the use of after-furnace treatment: alloying with liquid alloys; synthetic slag treatment; electroslag remelting;
  • steel casting into ingots and on continuous casting machines into billets from which sheet and long products, forgings are made.

Forging production is equipped with powerful steam-hydraulic presses (up to 3000 tons), forging and stamping hammers, as well as a modern radial forging machine SPX-55. Rolling production has a plate mill "2000", as well as high-quality mills "710" and "350".

Motovilikha traditionally specializes in the production of various steel castings from structural alloyed steel grades, having for this purpose wide technological capabilities and equipment. Reliable performance of large cast parts for the mining industry is ensured by the use of high manganese steel grades. For the first time, Motovilikha has mastered the technology of manufacturing cast chains from heat-resistant steel, and the parts obtained by casting according to investment casting meet the highest quality requirements.

Oil and gas equipment

For the oil and gas sector, Motovilikhinskiye Zavody CJSC produces a wide range of units, mechanisms, and consumables. It:

  • Two-arm balancing rocking machine OM-2001 with load balancing. Designed for individual mechanical drive to oil well sucker rod pumps. Through the use of an adjustable drive, downtime during repair and maintenance, as well as energy costs, are significantly reduced.
  • Rocking machines OM-2006, OM-2007 two-arm balancing machines with cargo balancing, enhanced consumer properties. Designed to drive oil well pumps during operation of low-production wells. They are equipped with an adjustable continuously variable drive with high efficiency, which allows the most economical operation of low-yield wells.
  • Hydraulic drive. It is a lightweight small-sized one-piece design designed for mechanized oil production by sucker rod pumps.
  • Washing installation for high-quality cleaning and washing in semi-field conditions of all types of oil pollution of the external and internal surfaces of tubing pipes, surfaces of borehole pumps and sucker rods.
  • Pump rods for transmitting movement from a drive to a borehole pump for oil production. Available in diameters of 19 and 22 mm.

Of course, this is not a complete list of products manufactured under the brand name Motovilikha.
