The PSP 3008 gaming platform is one of the latest generations of interactive gadgets. It is characterized not only by better performance, but also by an increased level of protection. Firmware PSP 3008 to the latest version is not only technically complicated, but also in case of failure it can be restored only in the service center. And only for the money, even with a valid warranty.
Requirements
In order for the PSP 3008 firmware to succeed, some conditions must be met. Remember that their implementation is mandatory, and non-compliance with these rules can adversely affect your gadget.
- Before flashing, charge your PSP at least 80%. When the battery is low, the process can arbitrarily end in the middle.
- During the installation of custom firmware, the device must be connected to a power source to avoid the problems described above.
- Find out the version of your current firmware. If it is 6.39 or lower, then you can install permanent firmware, if higher, then you will have to install a temporary (virtual) version, which will crash when you first restart the gadget.
We would also like to warn you that we are not responsible for this instruction. It has been tested on several devices, but you can never be 100% sure that everything will work as it should. Installing any unlicensed software, even if it is PSP 3008 firmware, is a violation of the service agreement with Sony, as a result of which the warranty expires.
6.60
The most current PSP 3008 firmware is 6.60. It provides the most stable operation of the device and the launch of most programs. So how do you install the update for the platform?
- Download the legal system version 6.60 from the official website.
- Put all the files on the device’s memory card into the /PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP directory. Create it if necessary.
- Download the device and start the PSP update from the "Games" menu.
- Wait for the process to complete.
So you upgrade the firmware of your PSP to the official version 6.60. If you want to run pirated games, you will also need additional modification. To install it, do the following:
- Download modified firmware files.
- Put them in the root of the memory card of your “memory card”.
- Turn on LME Installer 6.60 using the Games menu.
That's all. At the end of the process, you can remove the installer. Now, to launch a virtual environment (pirated firmware), you can enable LME Launcher 6.60 in games. After that, you can safely launch pirated applications.
6.61
If you do not want to tremble every time about the battery charge and worry that the firmware will fly off, then you can try to “fix” the virtual firmware. How to do it? For this operation, PSP 3008 6.61 firmware will be required, as well as some additional programs.
- Install the virtual firmware as described in the paragraph above.
- Download and drop the 6.61 Infinity Firmware Builder utility into the root of the memory card.
- We launch it from the "Games". Select "Build Hybrid Firmware".
- Using your PC, transfer the DATA.MFC file from the / PSP / GAME / MAKER / folder to the / PSP / GAME / FLASHER / directory.
- Download and run 6.61 Infinity Firmware Flasher.
- Reboot the console.
- If a blue screen appears during power-up, agree to a restore.
- Remove the builder and flasher.
- Check the firmware version in the settings. At the end of the inscription there should be an infinity sign.
- Now you can install the pirated system version 6.61. This is done in exactly the same way as before.
- Download and run Infinity Bootloader Configuration. Click left and cross our firmware - PRO CFW.
Your PSP 3008 virtual firmware is now fixed, and you don’t have to turn it on constantly. There shouldn’t be any problems finding additional software, because the infinity series utilities usually come in one archive.
