1. Discard the last, fifteenth digit.

2. The number of the remaining 14 digits divided by 13.

3. Discard the remainder.

4. The division result according to claim 2 is multiplied by 13.

5. From the result of claim 2, subtract the result of claim 4.

6. Compare the result with the control fifteenth digit: coincided - OGRIP is correct, did not match - false.

Unlike the OGRNIP, the number of legal entities of the OGRN contains 13 digits, where the ordinal number consists of 5 digits, and the 13th, the last is the checksum.

The algorithm for checking the reliability of a legal entity is similar to the calculation process for the sign of an individual entrepreneur. For legal entities only, the number of twelve characters is divided and multiplied by 11.

How to get admission to the business

Send a statement to the tax office at the place of registration, indicating the information:

• Surname, name, patronymic.
• ID details.
• State duty payment receipt.

Subsequently, the extract is received electronically through the “Public Services” platform for free.

The electronic version comes to the mail of the person who submitted the request. The paper version of the statement, certified by signatures and seals, is received at the tax office.

4. The desire to maintain the purity and integrity of the document forced the form to be laminated.

In these cases, the entrepreneur must change the Certificate or Registration Sheet.

On the territory of Russia, the decoding of the OGRNIP is the same. When changing the region of habitat and activity, the individual entrepreneur is not burdened with the need to change the document. It is only necessary to register with the new tax office.
