Ukrainian athlete Bessonova Anna Vladimirovna was born on July 29, 1984 in Kiev. The girl grew up in a sports family: mother, Victoria Anatolyevna, - gymnast; father, Vladimir Vasilievich, in his youth played for the famous football club Dynamo. Brother Ani was professionally engaged in tennis. In addition to sports, he was a businessman and personal manager of his sister.
Bessonova’s childhood
Anna's mother initially wanted her daughter to dance ballet. Therefore, at an early age, the girl was sent to ballet school. But by the age of five, she wanted to become a gymnast, and from that moment Victoria Bessonova herself began to teach gymnastics lessons to her daughter. Within a couple of years, Anna performed at various Ukrainian competitions, where she was noticed by Albina Deryugina, who invited the girl to study at the school of Albina and Irina Deryugin.
With the first appearance of Anna on stage, the judges were in no hurry to give her high marks. However, she was able to perform such exercises with which she surprised and fascinated them with each performance more and more. The girl performed the most complex compositions and showed them with ease, mastering impeccably auxiliary items.
Career
A sports career began at that time as a young gymnast in 1999 in Japan. Photos of Anna Bessonova flashed on the pages of newspapers and glossy magazines. She performed for ten years.
The most difficult year for the athlete was 2001. She had to change compositions in a short time, to master some new exercises, while preserving her personality and style.
At the initial stage, to accomplish this without mistakes was completely impossible, but the gymnast went to her goal and did not give up. And the results were not long in coming, already in 2002 she became the leader of the Ukrainian team. With this title held for all ten years.
In 2003, the girl could become an absolute champion, but took only second place, having made a mistake. Pulling herself together, in the same year she becomes a three-time champion at the European Championship.
In 2004, the Olympic Games were held, where Anna received honestly earned bronze.
2005 turned out to be very eventful, as competitions were held for all types of rhythmic gymnastics, including group ones. And this year Anna showed excellent results, where she immediately won all the silver.
September 2007 was marked by the beginning of the championship, which was held in Greek Patras, where once again the gymnast proved her professionalism, for which she received the award and the title of world champion.
In Beijing in 2008, the Olympics were held, where Bessonova took bronze.
But 2009 was the final year for the athlete in her sports career. The World Championship, which was held in Mie, ended for Ani with one silver and three bronze medals.
In 2010, in gratitude, she showed a number at the concert of Deryugina, where she said goodbye to sports.
Famous exercises
In 2003-2004, the number with the hoop was performed to the melody from the ballet Swan Lake. In the same year, Anna performed with maces to the tune from the movie "The Matrix", and with tapes for Spanish music.
In 2007, speaking with a hoop, Anna Bessonova danced to the music from the film Aurora.
In 2008-2009, under the Ukrainian tune, Anna ended her career.
And only in 2010, specially for the Deryugins, she performed to the song of the famous singer Lara Fabian.
Awards
For her great contribution to sports, for achieving high results, for her professional skills, Anna Bessonova was awarded the Order of the Princess of 1, 2 and 3 degrees. In the collection of Ani awards there are a large number of gold, silver and bronze medals, as well as state awards and various cups.

After leaving sports, Bessonov was in great demand. Since Anna had plenty of free time then, she was in time everywhere. For example, she hosted the program “Football”. She really likes this sport, since her dad is a football player in the past. She often watches matches with him, discusses them, and sometimes even argues. The athlete is interested not only in rhythmic gymnastics, but also in many other sports.
Anna did not engage in sports journalism for Bessonov for a short time, since a few months later she was invited to the project “I Dance for You”. Anna was in great physical shape and decided to try herself in the show, which she won with her partner Alexander Leshchenko. Immediately upon completion of the project, the girl was offered to become a model for one men's magazine. She starred at that time, but did not want to be a model on an ongoing basis, believing that earning a living with photographs was a frivolous job.
