They are highly valued for long and plentiful flowering. Despite the prevalence and popularity, not all growers are aware of the healing properties of these fragrant flowers.

In their homeland (in Mexico), marigolds (Chernobrivtsi) and their medicinal properties have long been used in folk medicine and cooking. The culinary use of flowers did not go unnoticed by the gourmets of other countries, whose cuisine is replete with meat dishes. The popularity of marigolds among "meat eaters" is easily explained - they have not only excellent taste, but also the ability to eliminate the excessive load on the digestive tract caused by such dishes. Studies by scientists from Italy have proven the harm from the fascination with meat - it is comparable to regular smoking by its destructiveness. The use of marigolds as a seasoning to it makes it possible to neutralize to a large extent the harmful effect on the gastrointestinal tract of heavy food.

When salting cucumbers, some housewives add leaves and flower baskets of tagetes to the marinades, which gives the canned vegetables a specific aroma and elasticity.
"Imereti Saffron"
This is a spicy powder, which is incredibly popular in the cuisine of the Caucasus. Prepare it by grinding dry flower baskets of Chernobrivtsi. Seasoning is distinguished by pronounced taste and rich aroma.
Salted Marigold Baskets
A great addition to food is soups with dressing, created from the salty flowers of the Chernobrivtsi. Marigolds, on the medicinal properties and contraindications to the use of which this article has already been said a lot, have a rich aroma and interesting taste. To prepare the brine, you will need 50 g of salt per kilogram of flower baskets. First you need to prepare a brine (such a dose of salt per 0.5 l of water). After the liquid boils, lower the prepared flowers into the water and cook for about five minutes. Salted flowers are stored in a cool place in glass jars.
Contraindications
