The girl understands that they are holding her, in principle, not marriage. And not the opinion of others, but only confusion in her own soul. Therefore, it’s necessary to blame Katerina’s death, not her husband, mother-in-law or lover, who did not live up to expectations. The reason for everything is the outdated way of life, the upbringing model, which was the basis of the life of a young woman, and which she simply had nothing to replace in her heart.
