Miklos Feher: cause of death and career history of a talented football player

For several minutes the football player’s heart was still beating, but when the forward of the “Reds” Tomislav Shokota ran up to the scene, Miklos was no longer breathing.

Miklos Feher was immediately taken away from the field on a stretcher to an ambulance car (resuscitator). 18 minutes after the fall, the footballer was taken to the Nossa Senor da Oliveira Guimaraes Medical Clinic. Repeated attempts at resuscitation of the heart were made over the athlete. All this went on for an hour.

When the medical staff fought for the life of the Hungarian athlete, the Benfica and Vitoria de Guimaraes footballers crowded outside the hospital, as well as their leadership. Miklos Feher died at 23:10 local time - 90 minutes after clinical death.

After a careful study of the history of Feher's disease, it became known that hereditary heart disease, referred to as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (autosomal dominant disease of the walls of the ventricle), killed him. In simple words, the cause of death of Miklos Feher is due to the fact that one of the ventricles of the heart of Feher was very large. In this case, it is forbidden to engage in professional sports.

At 23:40 local time, the director of the clinic announced the cause of death of Miklos Feher. As it became known later, the doctors knew that the football player could not be saved, but they continued to fight for his life, because they did not believe that everything could be fatal.
