Water used for domestic needs of a country house or cottage may contain mechanical impurities. The fact is that the state of some communications is poor, therefore, such problems arise. However, there is a way out of this situation. It consists in purchasing a filter for water purification and installing it in a water supply system. Coarse filters retain mechanical insoluble particles, which allows the water to be cleaned and in a suitable form to enter the home. The principle of their action is to filter insoluble particles, they do not contain any chemical reagents, and therefore are absolutely harmless to human health and its environment. Coarse water filters are selected based on the amount of impurities in the water and the performance of the water supply system.

Strainer
In this form, the filtering element is a grid with small cells, the size of which is in the range from 20 to 500 microns. They can be self-washed, such as Honeywell water filters (their design allows you to automatically remove impurities that have accumulated inside). The second category is non-washed; to clean their filter elements, the device must be disassembled and cleaned manually.
Models designed for use in cold water systems have a transparent case. Coarse filters used in
hot water systems are made of metal. In addition to performing their basic functions, they can be equipped with a pressure control valve, this allows you to protect from surges and
hydraulic shocks .
Cartridge filter
The main filter element here is a cartridge of a replaceable type, which is located in a flask-case made of steel or plastic. This type reliably retains impurities. For a cold water supply system, the casing is transparent; for hot water supply systems, it is made of opaque materials. As a rule, coarse cartridge filters are installed in systems having smaller impurities.
Depending on the cartridge design, it can remove both mechanical and chemical impurities. For example, a cartridge made of felt impregnated with activated carbon can purify water from chlorine. The hosiery type traps fibrous impurities such as algae and tina.
High Pressure Filter
High-speed coarse filters consist of a column tank made of anticorrosive material and filled with a filtering composition. It is capable of retaining insoluble particles of a size of 30 microns or more. The device has a control unit, which is able to automatically regulate the work associated with filtering the flowing fluid and the regeneration of the filter element. This type of filter is used in cases where water contains a significant amount of heterogeneous impurities.
Which option should I dwell on? The choice of the type of filter you need depends on the concentration of impurities in the liquid and their heterogeneity, availability of free space in the home and your financial capabilities.
