The beginning of the sports path
Vladimir Alexandrovich Kaplichny from an early age began to play football at a sports school in the city of Kamenetz-Podolsky. Vladimir immediately fell in love with football and did not see himself in any other section. Vladimir Alexandrovich Kaplichny in his childhood spoke at completely different positions on the field. Speaking in center field or attack, he often scored. His performance at one of the youth tournaments was noticed by Evgeny Lepeshko. He took Kaplichny to the Khmelnitsky Dynamo. Lepeshko did a lot for this talented teenager. Often he studied individually with Vladimir. It was Lepeshko who put this football player in the position of central defender, in which he played until the end of his football career. Moody often noted that if it were not for Lepeshko’s faith, he would hardly have become a professional footballer.
Professional career
Vladimir Alexandrovich Kaplichny was sure that he would play in Dynamo Kyiv. All talented Ukrainian players were called up to this team. However, Vladimir was taken into the army. There he began to play for the SKA Lviv. He got into this club thanks to the invitation of Sergei Shaposhnikov. This football specialist managed to put together an excellent team. Many of the players on his team wanted to see in his Moscow “CSKA”. Kaplichny was among the players who were very interested in the Moscow club. The transition of this football player to CSKA took place in 1966. Vladimir had a difficult choice. He could play for Dynamo Kiev or go to Moscow CSKA. Nevertheless, Vladimir chose a club from Moscow. Kaplichny Vladimir Alexandrovich (soccer player) immediately became a player in the main team of this club, despite high competition. All the players accepted him well and helped him in every possible way to open in the new club. As part of “CSKA” Kaplichny spent 9 seasons. He showed a reliable game. This tough defender did not like the attacking opponents. Vladimir was a real fighter. On the field, he did not spare himself and his rivals. Vladimir always said: "I have no authority on the field."
International career
For the first time, Kaplichny played for the national team at the Olympics. Gabriel Kachalin invited him to the team. He took this quarterback to games in South America. At one of the tournaments, Vladimir Kaplichny received the prize "Best Defender of the Tournament." Immediately upon returning to Moscow, Kaplichny received an invitation to play for the USSR team from the new coach Mikhail Yakushin. Defender immediately became a player of the basic structure. Many talented footballers, such as Shesternev and Anichkin, claimed in his place. As part of his international team, Vladimir won the silver of the European Championship and the bronze of the Summer Olympic Games.
Retirement
Age takes its toll, and Vladimir Alexandrovich had to end his professional football career. This defender spent his last match for the national team against the team of the Irish national team in 1974. In this game, Vladimir received a red card for a conflict with an opponent. Everything turned out well, as the referee also showed a red card to the opponent’s player, and the teams continued to play in equal compositions. The following year, this talented defender finished playing for his home club, CSKA.
Coaching
Immediately after completing a career, the Ministry of Defense sent Vladimir Kaplichny to study at a higher school of trainers. After his training, there was an internship in various professional teams. The management of “CSKA” wanted to leave the legendary defender in the club system, but Kaplichny wanted to leave the club, where he spent many seasons. Vladimir asked to work in his first club, in Lviv “SKA”. The leadership approved his transition, and Vladimir began his coaching career. The first years were extremely successful. Vladimir Kaplichny led the team, coming in ninth place, and by the end of the season she was among the leaders. And next year, this team won the championship of Ukraine. But soon, due to conflicts with the leadership, this coach had to leave the club. Vladimir Kaplichny decided to return to his homeland. Vladimir worked for a long time with the football team of disabled people of Ukraine. With this team, the coach won bronze at the World Cup.
Personal life
Kaplichny was married three times. After breaking up with his first wife, he began to drink. Perhaps it was precisely the difficulties in his personal life that prevented him from realizing himself on the coaching bridge. The legendary football player called his second marriage in the past a mistake. With his third wife, Vladimir lived in Ukraine in his last years.
Vladimir Alexandrovich Kaplichny, whose biography undoubtedly deserves respect, could not realize himself as a coach. But his merit as a player is still remembered by football fans. Vladimir Kaplichny died at the age of 60. This footballer has done a lot for football. Many clubs should be grateful to him, especially the Russian national football team.
