Zaur Sadaev: career of a Russian football player

As part of the Grozny “Terek” you can often see among the players the basics of the club’s pupils. One of such footballers is Zaur Sadaev. The attacker, speaking in other teams only on loan, receives not so much playing time in his native club, but regularly brings great benefit to Grozny residents.

Start at Terek

Zaur Umarovich Sadaev was born on November 6, 1989 in the Chechen city of Shali and from school age began to study at the football school at Terek. At 17, the young striker was evaluated by the main team, speaking in the First Division, and several times announced at the tournament matches. The debut in Grozny against the striker took place in September 2007, when the Russian came on as a substitute in the match against Novokuznetsk Metallurg-Kuzbass. In total that season, Zaur Sadaev appeared on the field in 7 games, of which he only twice started in the starting lineup and twice managed to distinguish himself, hitting the gates of “Mordovia” and “Baltic”.

Premier League

According to the results of the championship of 2007, “Terek” managed to win the silver of the First Division and entered the Premier League. However, for the striker this success was not the best event at the start of his career - according to the decision of the coaching staff, the player was more involved in matches of the youth squad, and in the first season in the elite league Zaur Sadaev held only 3 meetings, making his debut in the summer against the capital “Spartak”.

However, the experience gained in games with youth allowed the striker to get closer to the base, and the next three seasons in the application of “Terek” regularly featured Zaur Sadaev. The football player, aiming to achieve success in the team, showed great hopes, but low performance often put him on the bench. In the championship for three years, he took part in 51 matches, in which 6 goals were scored, as well as 4 assists.

Rental seasons

In 2013, Zaur Sadaev began to travel on leases, while his first business trip was quite scandalous. In January, “Terek” was negotiating with the Jerusalem “Beitar” on a six-month agreement, and despite the ardent protest of fans of the Israeli club regarding the signing of the Muslim player, the transition of the Russian still took place. For his second career club, Zaur Sadaev started very well - in the debut match in the Israeli championship, having gone 13 minutes for a substitution, the striker marked a goal that allowed the team to achieve a draw in the game against Maccabi. However, having appeared in the t-shirt of the Israeli club 5 more times, the player was no longer marked with successful actions.

Zaur Sadaev (“Terek” every season tried to fight for getting into the European Cup zone), after six months of trying to be back in the base, he was again sent on loan - this time to Poland. The player spent the second half of the 2013/14 season as part of the Lechia Gdańsk, for which he scored three goals in 16 matches. After returning to Grozny in the summer of 2014, the striker immediately returned to the Polish championship, but this time ended up in another club - the Poznan Lech. Having played the entire season, Zaur Sadaev helped the team reach the final in the Cup of the country, as well as become the champion of Poland, earning 14 points in 29 meetings.

Return to Grozny

Returning to the “Terek” with the title of champion of the Polish league, Zaur Sadaev was able to establish himself in front of the coaching staff and successfully started the 2015/16 season at the core of the team. For 13 matches, the attacker was able to score 5 goals, three of which brought important points to Grozny residents, while in the match against Kazan “Rubin” the player scored twice, which allowed them to win - 2: 1.

But, having been injured at the end of 2015, Sadayev again lost his position in the team, missing almost the entire second part of the championship. The return to the base in the next season was successful - coming on as a substitute in the match against “Ufa”, in 12 minutes Zaur was able to score a goal. But his physical readiness did not suit the coaching staff, which is why in the rest of the season the player entered the field only one more time.
