The basis of the concept of this recently created modern children's park in Kazan is the globe with all parts of the world represented in the park area. The reconstructed and updated recreation area is two “hemispheres”, in each of which there are various platforms for entertainments.
It was built in the framework of the project “Year of parks and squares in Tatarstan” in 2015. A large-scale structuring and redevelopment of the entire park was carried out. In the green areas, shrubs and trees are planted, lawns are beautifully arranged, and a children's town has been created for games and entertainment.

A brief history of the creation of the park
The park along Yamashev Avenue was laid out back in the 80s of the last century. Since then, reconstruction work has not been carried out in it. By New Year's Eve, a Christmas tree was installed annually on the square opposite the motorway opposite a large shopping center. This limited the functions of the park.
As already mentioned, in 2015 this section of the city (and many other territories of the republic) was included in the list of the program “Year of parks and squares”. It should be noted that the development of the project was carried out taking into account the numerous wishes of local residents, and the finished work was presented at public hearings.
It is no exaggeration to say that the Continent Park in Kazan after reconstruction became the main vacation spot for children and adults throughout the Republic of Tatarstan.
Description of the park
As noted above, the basis of the visual concept of the Continent Kazan Park is the globe. On the general plan, the silhouettes of 2 earth hemispheres with the contours of the continents are indicated. Here you can see high-quality, vibrant coverings, modern swings, animal-shaped urns, comfortable benches with rain canopies, an extreme park, sports and playgrounds, and special paths for cycling and roller-skating.
In the center is a magnificent gaming complex, which is stylized as the Kazan Kremlin. There are convenient areas for games for children with disabilities. Small forms of architecture are designed and installed here.
The park has preserved many plantings from the old green zone. In its left part the vegetation resembles Pushkin Lukomorye.
Distribution of zones by “continents”
Kazan Continent Park is filled with "parts of the world", each of which has its own highlight:
- "North America" ​​is intended for large celebrations.
- "South America" ​​is a beautiful flower garden.
- Eurasia is a huge playground where the model of Tatarstan with a miniature copy of the Kazan Kremlin is especially attractive.
- "Africa" ​​has a large sandbox where children can dig up dinosaur bones on their own.
A little further away is a slide for roller skaters, cyclists and skaters, as well as a playground for workout (street gymnastics). The road itself has a dog walking area. The plans of the city authorities - to build a family cafe. The park is protected from the noise and dust of a large avenue by artificial hills.
Where is the Continent Park located?
Kazan has many similar recreation areas. This children's park is located in the most modern area of ​​the city - Novo-Savinovsky. The location is within walking distance of the famous Kazan Arena, the venue for the World Universiade. The park area is suitable for families with children in the fresh air. It is primarily intended for the smallest visitors.
This is a place of traditional folk and New Year festivities of the residents of the quarter. The location of the park is the intersection of Gavrilov, Lavrentiev and Yamashev streets.
