Childhood and youth

Alina was born in March 1989 in the Byelorussian SSR. She grew up quite an active child, and therefore parents decided to send her daughter to the sports section. They decided that she needed to do athletics. The future athlete did not resist and was pleased to attend the sports section.

After some time, the trainers noticed that the girl stands out from her peers. Since then, she began to pay a little more attention than the rest.

A year later, she goes to the European Championship. Alina again approached the tournament as a "dark horse". Despite everything, Alina returned with a bronze award to her homeland.

In 2011, Alina Talay for the last time participates in the European Youth Championship and this time wins a gold medal. Thus, at twenty-two, Alina won her first major award.

It is worth noting that back in 2011, she took part in the World War Games and won at a distance of 100 meters with barriers.

In 2012, Talay leaves for Turkey, where the World Indoor Championships are taking place. Runner takes third place at a distance of sixty meters with barriers. In the same year, the athlete became the second at the European Championships.

2013 was not too successful for a young athlete. She won only a silver medal at the Universiade, which was held in Russia.

In spring 2015, Alina became the European champion at a distance of 60 meters with hurdles, and literally a few months later she won bronze at the World Championships in China. Belarus also performed at the Olympic Games in London at a distance of 100 meters with hurdles, but left the tournament at the semifinal stage. She also participated in the relay, where the national team of Belarus lost in the first round.

Unfortunately, the Olympics brought disappointment: Alina Talai won nothing. Photos and videos from those competitions show all the passions and how the athlete tried, but, to the disappointment of the fans, she did not win. But to her credit, later, during many conversations with reporters, she did not seek excuses, but honestly admitted that she was not ready enough for the competitions.
