In the north-west of the city of Tula, at a distance of 60 kilometers, stands the ancient city of Aleksin. It is located on the opposite banks of the Oka River at the confluence of the Mordovka River. It is a large industrial city ββof the Tula region, which survived its rebirth during the first five-year plans of the USSR. The Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant (AOMZ), which has a rich history, is located in this city.
The city of Aleksin is divided into two parts by the Oka River, which are connected by a bridge. The older part is called Zarechye, the new one is Sotsgrad. The latter owes its birth to the industrial villages located in this region, Vysokoye, Petrovskoye, Myshega.
A railroad passes through the city, stretching from Vyazma through Tula in the direction of Ryazhsk. In addition to the railway, Aleksin is connected to its regional center by a highway, which, in turn, is connected to the Moscow-Simferopol motorway.
a brief description of
The main industrial center of the city is the Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant, which boasts a rich and glorious centuries-old history. Currently, the main direction of this enterprise is the production of high-tech non-standard equipment. Its manufacture is carried out including from materials provided by customers. To solve these complex problems, AOMZ concentrated highly qualified specialists in its production, as well as the significant potential of modern processing equipment, which has great capabilities.
Its production base consists of the following structures:
- instrumental production (workshop) ;
- boiler-welding production (workshop);
- procurement;
- complex of mechanical assembly structures (workshops);
- production of electroplated coatings, rubber products, consumer goods.
The full name of the enterprise is Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant OJSC. Located at: Tula region, Aleksin city, Metallistov street, 10.
The site of the Alexinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant is noted for originality and information content.
Currently, the main management of the enterprise is:
- General Director - S. E. Litvinenko; chief engineer O. N. Pershin;
- Deputy General Directors: for production - R. B. Lukashin; on commercial matters - G. A. Kozlov; on safety - M. A. Mikhailov; in economics and finance - S.V. Zakharov;
- Chief Accountant - E. I. Ryabova.
The history of the plant
Initially, the future Aleksinsky experimental mechanical plant was built as a factory for the production of mirrors. She owes her birth to the Moscow Glass Smelting Society. A place near the town of Aleksin was chosen because there was raw materials for the production of glass. Moreover, its production at local coal mines was successfully combined with the presence of Konshinsky railways. e. access roads. They belonged to one of the first Russian railways that were privately owned. The year the plant was founded was January 1898.
The Alexinsky experimental mechanical plant owes its foundation to the large manufacturer and industrialist N. Konshin, as well as state adviser N. Filipiev, lawyer N. Nechaev and the French glass engineer A. Gillo.
The beginning of the way
In 1915, during the years of the 1st World War, the mirror factory was first converted and leased by the military department, which created an artillery workshop on its basis.
New tasks of the enterprise consisted in the repair of artillery, convoy property, as well as artillery boxes. At that time, a large number of people worked at the plant, almost 1300 people. To ensure the fulfillment of the tasks, the existing factory premises and machines were remade for metalworking processes. Furnaces, which previously melted glass, began to melt metals.
In the days of the NEP, after the civil war ended in Russia, the enterprise was again reprofiled. It began to produce agricultural machinery. As a result of these changes, the production of plows, harrows, fans, horse mowers began. The plant carried out their current and major repairs.
1936 was a new milestone for the Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant (AOMZ). He was again refitted to produce new products, namely, mechanical equipment. A new turn led to the fact that the plant became a significant enterprise for equipping the existing and under construction enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the USSR. For their needs, AOMZ began to produce special technological equipment.
During the 2nd World War, the territory on which the plant was located fell into the zone of German occupation. The village was seriously destroyed due to mortar shelling. Factory buildings also suffered. But before the enemy came here, the bulk of the machines and other valuable equipment were evacuated. After the Tula region was liberated, the exported machines were returned, and the plant continued to carry out tasks in the interests of the military-industrial complex of the USSR.
Post-war years
After the end of the Second World War, the company again changed its line of business. The plant began to produce chemical equipment, as well as a line of consumer goods. The company began to produce non-standard machines and other technological devices.
In 1953, it became known as the Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant. Along with the change of name, it was also re-profiled into metalworking and mechanical assembly.
Since the mid-sixties of the last century, at the time when the active re-equipment of the industry producing gunpowder and mixed solid rocket fuel (STRT) began, the Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant was the only enterprise that was able to manufacture the demanding large-sized equipment. It was intended to mechanize and automate the production of these products.
Development period
Due to the increase in production volumes, the factory territory has increased significantly. New production facilities were built. Actively began to develop and social infrastructure. The factory built sports and everyday houses, as well as other socially significant objects of the city of Aleksin.
In the eighties of the last century, the plant continued to work on increasing the production level. The existing equipment park has been significantly improved. The upgrade process affected forging and stamping and metalworking industries. Advanced robotic machines, as well as complexes with numerical control, have been successfully introduced.
Hard times
With the collapse of the USSR, difficult times came at the plant.
Aleksinsky plant completely switched to the production of civilian products. The company began to produce equipment in the interests of agriculture and the construction industry, as well as to provide fire extinguishing systems.
The social sphere of the plant was transferred to the balance of the local municipality, which negatively affected the livelihood of residential factory districts. Wage arrears began to appear to employees of the enterprise. The number of customers has begun to decline. The staff of JSC Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant of the plant was reduced from a few thousand to a modest 500 people.
The beginning of the rebirth
With the beginning of the 2000s, the situation began to improve. Orders appeared in the military-industrial complex. The number of orders for the manufacture of products in the interests of the civilian sphere began to increase. The staff of Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant OJSC began to increase. Now the company employs about 8,000 employees.
Currently, AOMZ, through civil engineering, produces shutoff valves for water utilities, a wide range of equipment in the interests of the construction industry, various modifications of mixers, containers that are adapted to work under pressure, a variety of cutting tools, stamping equipment, and other types of products.
