Who are the tourists? What is this army of restless people? Tourists are people traveling to explore new places in their free time from their main job. Travel can be health, business, educational or any other nature. But the first goal that tourists pursue is relaxation and entertainment.
There are as many types of tourists as there are varieties of tourism, for example:
- Tourists-skiers seeking to conquer new peaks.
- Recreational tourists - they are engaged in their recovery and restoration of physical strength.
- Tourists looking for extreme and unusual adventures, such as feeding alligators in Thailand or safari tours in Africa.
- Pilgrim tourists, their goal is sacred places, monasteries, ancient churches.
- Tourists - "sailors" - yachts, ships, cruise liners are their way of entertainment.
Types of tourism can be listed indefinitely. Tourists are people who are constantly looking for new sensations and thirsting for knowledge.
But there are especially noteworthy types of tourism, and it is worth talking about them separately.
On the river
Water tourism involves walking on rivers on small boats such as kayaks, canoes, kayaks and rafts. Water tourists choose different routes. For some, itβs better to sail along calm rivers, not rushing anywhere and enjoying the sun, water and atmosphere. As a rule, calm water tourism is preferred by family people, that is, those who go rafting with the whole family. Such trips are very good if you have small children. Parents can relax, and the kids have fun without risk to health.
Water tourism: what it is
To measured water tourism can be attributed rafting. "Raft" is translated as "raft". Currently, large-scale inflatable boats of a stable design or an inflatable catamaran are used for rafting .
But mostly water tourism is extreme. Those who seek thrills choose rafting along stormy rivers. The main attributes are kayaks, kayaks and canoes. All of them have a long narrow shape and can accommodate from one to three people. And this is no accident: such a structure easily goes along the river, it is maneuverable, which makes it possible to circumvent all obstacles, which are sometimes very dangerous.
Also, many other sports can be attributed to water tourism. For example, windsurfing, diving, kiting and water skiing. All of them are difficult, and you cannot do without good dexterity. If the tourist is not a professional, but really wants to experience a new sport, he needs to hire an experienced instructor. Independent experiments are extremely undesirable for health and life.
But in any case, water tourism is a very exciting sport, giving many new sensations and the opportunity to relax.
Adventure tourism
This is the perfect way to relax for everyone. Even if a person thinks that he does not like adventure, and for rest he needs only a beach and a hotel room, he clearly does not know how wide the boundaries of tourism are. The entire range of travel is multifaceted. A tourist-traveler can find an adventure to his liking in any part of the globe, the main thing is that it be unusual, exotic and environmentally friendly.
Types of adventure tourism
It can be divided into two types: sport and travel. Sports tourism includes all unusual and extreme sports. For example, mountainous, it includes skiing from mountain heights, rock climbing and mountain climbing. Or no less fascinating delta and paragliding, walking along cable cars located tens of meters above the ground.
Traveling tourism is the most popular, as not everyone loves sports, but everyone wants unusual adventures.
Jipping, or off-road driving in jeeps. Such entertainment can be found in absolutely any resort. The jeep is an all-terrain vehicle, and it allows you to get to any local attraction, the path to which is quite bumpy. Traveling by jeep is very different from bus tours. In such a car there will be no stuffiness and inconvenience, riding on it is a pleasure, there is the opportunity to breathe fresh air and observe the surrounding nature.
Safari tours are the most vivid type of adventure. Its essence is that travelers travel across the steppes of Africa in search of wild predators. Tourists are given the opportunity to plunge into the nature of the savannah, look at lions and rhinos directly in their habitat. The tour is accompanied by an experienced guide who owns all the necessary equipment, including weapons. Traveling on the savannah is not the easiest; it requires endurance, both physical and psychological.
Sports and recreation tourism
This is a kind of sport that develops stamina and improves health. Designed for all ages without exception. It varies by type: water, mountain, ski, hiking, cycling and combined. As a rule, it is based on the passage of the route. For example, climbing a mountain, hiking in the woods, walking a bike, and all that. The goal of tourists is to improve their sports skills, develop endurance, physical strength and at the same time improve their health. Such cardio loads have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and strengthen the heart muscle. All events take place outdoors, in the fresh air, thanks to this, the body can be saturated with oxygen and cleanse the lungs.
Types of health tourism
It is divided into organized and independent. Organized tourism involves holding an event with an experienced instructor from a tourism organization. For example, not everyone will be able to independently go for rafting or go mountain climbing. Organizations offer their services, instructors, provide the necessary attributes and guarantee the safety of people.
Independent tourism is a journey of a "savage", that is, without instructors and tour operators. For example, a forest hike. The family can collect everything you need (sleeping bags, tents, provisions, etc.) and go on a route through the forest. This type of vacation is good when tourists understand the area and can take care of themselves. Otherwise, it may become a threat to their health.
Tourist day
Tourist Day is an international holiday. It is celebrated worldwide on September 27th. The date falls on the day the tourist season ends in the northern hemisphere and begins in the southern hemisphere. The holiday was established by the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization, or UNWTO, in 1979. In Russia, began to celebrate the Day of the tourist since 1983. And now, for 33 years, every year on September 27, our tourists celebrate this significant date - Tourist's Day.
What can I say, summing up? Tourists are not just an activity, they are a way of life. Tourism can be different: for children, for adults, for the elderly. But it is certainly interesting to everyone, as it gives a lot of new sensations, emotions, health and just pleasure.
